I had been banking in SHFCU for the last 19 years, and I think it's about the right time to show my appreciation to the staff here in Patterson. Susana, Maria and Leticia are like family to me. They are courteous, kind and accommodating. I never had problems in all those years I had been banking with this small credit union bank. They are my favorite neighborhood bank!!! I arrived at Self Help let's say around 11:50. I arrived to open a checking account and was told, at lunch time they do not open any new accounts on their lunch breaks which didn't make any sense. At any other credit union or Bank you can walk in any time with no problem to open any accounts. I won't be returning back to this CU nor will I recommend any of my other associates. Bad Customers Service 😔.I only left two stars for when I arrived a week before this day I had a great experience the first time.

Hope this review helps anyone going here to open a bank account that has recently moved from another town or is self- employed. I was unable to open an account with them because my identification card still list my former adreess. They seem to have a good deal on their accounts, if you can actually have an account with them.Thankfully, I found another bank.

I am a member of a Federal Credit Union without branches on the west coast, and this location provides "shared branch" services through Co-Op Network. Except, for some asinine reason, on Saturdays. For those of us that have better things to do on a Saturday morning than to drive from Salida only to be told "our network is down on Saturdays" without mention on Self Help's website is frustrating.

I've been going here for a long time, and often times it could be very inconvenient, but ever since they reopened this branch after they closed since the initial lockdown it's much much worse. The new tellers are rude and untrained. They don't know how to attend customers and give off the attitude that they have better things to do.
