Jennifer is extremely rude for no reason. I always paid my rent on time and was low maintenance. I was very nice and sent her pictures of my entire apartment so she could rent it and she used them in her ad. She thanked me by writing “return to sender” on my mail right after I moved and charged me 6.5 hours for cleaning when the apartment was VERY clean. I could have understood 1 hour but she just took advantage of her position. She is only nice when she wants something. I would avoid working with this snarky woman.and unprofessional business. I just don’t know how they continue to be in business given their shady behavior. The only good thing is that they rented the apartment for many hundred dollars less than I paid. I love that!

We rented a property managed by Bay Osos for just over 3 years and overall our experience was a positive one. We worked mostly with Jennifer, who was helpful and quick to respond during our time there.

The reason for 3 stars is because the day of our move-in, the unit had not been professionally cleaned, or cleaned at all for that matter. We had no where to go and had movers scheduled, etc., so we had no choice but to move in. Walls were filthy, bathroom drawers had beard clippings in them, showers were smelly. Our families stayed at the unit the entire day cleaning, while we dealt with the stress of moving our things. They did send cleaners the next day to clean the showers and the kitchen appliances, but that was it. We were still charged for cleaning when we left (as per the lease agreement) and we didn't fight it, though we thought it was unfair given the state the place was in when we moved in.

Second thing to note (and this may have been more on the owner of the unit vs. Bay Osos, we aren't sure) but they were pretty unwilling to update/provide basic replacements for things that clearly needed it. Our blinds were bent, broken, and missing slats the entire time we were there. When asked if we could buy replacements ourselves, they said that would be fine but we'd have to remove them and replace them with the old ones before move out (?). Our shower had black mildew and leaked for the entirety of our 3 years there. They didn't replace it. Overall it was a decent place to live but found it surprising how little was done to update and fix things during our time there. That being said, it was our understanding that they planned to do a lot of work once we moved out and they didn't take anything out of our security deposit except for the cleaning fee.

Lastly, they were very inflexible with lease terms. When it came time to start looking for our first home purchase, it was explained to us that we would be charged for breaking the lease (even though we had been there over 3 years), unless we closed on a home within the exact time frame that the lease was due to be renewed. This gave us about a month window to try and get through escrow and move out without being charged for "breaking the lease". By some miracle, we were able to make this work but I imagine for many, that wouldn't be an option. Disappointing after having been good renters for 3+ years that they wouldn't give us any wiggle room with that.

Overall, they are an average company to rent from. Their communication was great, but I wouldn't say they went above and beyond to make the experience a stand-out one.

Called and explained I was coming down from Northern California to see a rental that was pet friendly and the woman on the phone didn’t even have the courtesy to call me and let me know it was rented. Instead she let me drive two and half hours and sent me an email stating I could look at other listings in her website. They have no other pet friendly rentals and she could have been polite by just letting me know and then I wouldn’t have wasted my time or gas !!! I found all the staff to be rude and less than helpful !!!!
