I am the easiest client this office can have: no loan companies, no installment payments, I bought my house with cash, paid the premium in full, on time, I have no insurance claims history - it is squeaky clean, I fixed everything the inspector required on time, asked my questions, declared everything correctly.

And even then these people crewed it up.
After giving me one quote to insure the house, after I applied, filled out everything correctly, and paid my premium in full, they wrote a policy, yet afterwards changed their tune and said it was not enough money... looks like a bait and switch scheme. They ordered me to pay up or the policy would cancel...without answering my questions or any investigation, without asking if I could afford paying more then was already agreed on, and I even was told not to take it personally, wow! The associate tried to get more money out of me without explaining why my coverage went up, without even caring to check that the inspector added another bathroom that did not exist on his report (I had to point that out in writing). After that it took the associate more then a month to work with underwriters to find out the minimum information about the premium increase while I unsuccessfully inquired about it numerous times. It took her OVER A MONTH!!!

It looks like my policy was misquoted, my square footage was somehow unilaterally changed by their associate, and they tried "go around it" the sq footage on the application that was signed.

I also was misinformed as far as allowed repairs on the property were concerned. Even though the associate knew the house needed new floors and I would be hiring flooring installers, a month later she threatened that they would cancel my existing policy and tried to bully me into paying more money to insure a so called "rehab project". I asked several direct questions about that and told them to explain what she then told me in writing. I waited for over 5 days for clarifications, stressing out thinking I did something wrong doing repairs to the property. Not! Caught red handed, they admitted their bluff, yet no one still apologized for keeping me unaware for that long and not admitting misinformation right away on day one! They preferred to hide and wait out, thinking the issues they created would just go away.

As of now this office refused to refund my full premium. My questions still remain unanswered, instead I was given runarounds, yet no direct answers to specific questions even though I asked them numerous times. For some reason they don't want to answer... that seems fishy... I was misinformed on the phone numerous times already and it was recorded. They still don't like to put their answers to my valid questions in writing and request me to call them so they can avoid paper trail.

Had a car accident last August. My car had $13,000 in damages and Allstate payed the entire repair bill with no out of pocket expenses on my part. Allstate was prompt and professional throughout the process. My car insurance rates didn't go up either due to the accident. Overall I was completely satisfied with them.?
