About 5 years back we started looking for a fiduciary financial advisor and found that Bull Oak had the best reviews in San Diego. I consulted with Ryan then and found out details of the services they offer but our portfolio didn’t meet their minimum requirements then. Ryan however was extremely helpful and I continued to subscribe to the firms newsletter to get generic macroeconomic insights and also understand their approach.
Along the way we tried some other financial advisors from Ameriprise who were absolutely useless. They confirmed being fiduciaries but just sold us Ameriprise products and had us create accounts with no personalized guidance of any sort.

Ryan is a fiduciary advisor, meaning that Bull Oak charges a small overall fee to the client (% of your portfolio), and does not collect any revenue from commissions. So, it is in Ryan’s best interest to maintain a quality portfolio for his clients.
