Great store! Great customer service. Called them late on a Saturday afternoon for some bike repairs and Danny was ready for us. In and out in a short period of time and the entire staff was fantastic. Bryce was friendly, Danny was friendly as we're all the associates. I'm going back there to buy two more bicycles!

Great to have an REI here. Wide range of interest from Camping, cycling, beach, running, and rock climbing. The last one has me scratching my head some. They have great quality. And there are some really good deals to be found here as well. It looks like they have classes. My only gripe is it’s really far away. Put one in Miami please!!

REI is one of my favorite stores. Not only it has a variety of brands when you are looking for clothes, accesories, or gear so you can compare according to what you are looking for, but also the staff is incredibly knowledgeable to support you with any questions you may have.
Go full of questions, and you will leave with a greater sense of ownership or with more clarity about your sport or outdoor activity.

What makes a place and your experience in it truly good? The customer service.

David at this REI location truly went above and beyond, answering all questions and giving us recommendations very patiently.

He also introduced us to the cooperative and it’s membership program which is a plus for an outdoor enthusiast and trail runner like me.

The selection of camping, trail and other outdoor gear at this store was pretty solid as far as a Covid hammered supply chain would allow them to be.

Would recommend easily.

This location is getting 1 star because of a recent experience I had here. I had ordered from REI’s website an expensive cold weather sleeping bag for a friend last Christmas. The friend had only used it once and claimed that he didn’t like it. He was going to hold on to it for this winter but decided to get another sleeping bag instead.

REI’s return policy states that members have one year to return an item that they are not satisfied with. I attempted to return this item at the Boca Raton location and the following occurred:

-the store was not busy (it was mid day and mid week). There was one gentleman typing on a computer at the cash register area. I walked up to return the item and the gentlemen did not acknowledge me. I gave him 2-3 minutes before speaking up. He choose to ignore. At this time another employee walked up to the check out area and said she would help me.

-I had the return bar code for the item pulled up on the REI app on my phone. She scanned it and said the “item wasn’t in their inventory.” I tried explaining to her that the item was obviously bought through REI since it was on the app.

-the employee then opened up the sleeping bag and claimed that it was missing a “tag.” I looked at there was still a tag on it. She then claimed that the tag was “beat up, and that REI doesn’t accept returns of items that are “beat up.” I argued with her, stating that I have bought items in their own “garage sale” with “beat up” tags.

-at this point, the gentlemen at the cash register said they wouldn’t be accepting my return.

-I called REI’s customer service and was told that they DO in fact accept returns with “beat up” tags. The agent was confused as to why the store told me otherwise.

I have been an REI member for quite a while and have been to numerous of their locations and all of their flagship stores across our great nation.
I was excited to see an REI open up in my home town of Boca Raton but I am very disappointed in this store. The staff is very unprofessional. Further, they aren’t the “outdoorsy” type people that you find at other REI locations.

They have a lot of neat stuff. Found energy gel and wanted to try them. Labeled at $1.60 and got to register. Andreas (less than helpful) said they were $2.60 and pulled it up online. He saw miss label and didn't offer to help. I had to call for a manager (Melissa) who immediately apologized and fixed the pricing. Company should hired and train better cashiers in customer service.
