IF THEY DENY YOUR CLAIM, YOU HAVE 6 MONTHS TO GO TO SMALL CLAIMS/COURT. And small claims is easy now because you can attend by zoom! They denied my claim on my broken windshield based on a rationale that essentially accidents never happen when it comes to their city garbage trucks, even though I provided date/time, truck ID, pictures. I hope that by informing the public here the city will end up paying out much more to residents than "risk managers" saved by denying my claim.
