HealthTeam Advantage seems to be a "Great" insurer and their phone representatives are polite and courteous but they really dropped the ball on their choice of OTC card carrier. If you had done the proper research you would have foreseen the issues that your clients are experiencing now. NationsBenefits has a 1.2 ratiing on Trustpilot. A simple google search would have shown you this!

I was excited about signing up to their Cardinal Plan because I was told that there would be a $145 quarterly expense fund for over-the-counter items. I found out day one that their app (NationsBenefits) will tell you something is eligible and when you go to pay at the register 1/2 the items are not eligible! You also have to tick "Walmart" each time a new item is scanned. This is very annoying. It's useless to call and and inquire about an item because HTA rep. told me to buy a name brand item at twice the cost? If you're looking for a Medicare Advantage plan avoid the ones with a NationsBenefits Flex wallet!!! There's a lot better OTC card benefits available out there. Do your research and choose wisely.

I called the number on the back of the card and it went to HealthTeam Advantage not NationsBenefits. I expressed my concerns and results I was getting with the app on purchasing Items at Walmart. I was told that the scanner was supposed to be removed because of all the complaints! I was also told to go to Moses Cone Hospital because everything at their pharmacy was eligible.!?!?! I'm not going to travel 30+ mile round trip to go there when Walmart is only 1.5 miles from my house!

I'll try to contact NationsBenefits on my own but this is something that HealthTeam Advantage needs to address themselves. (No I'm not going to go to Moses Cone Hospital) and I'm not spending hours playing tag you're it with emails to NationsBenefits.

I will add to this review when I and other clients get answers to their concerns and complaints about this matter.

Good Medicare Advantage plan but the Flexcard can be a real problem with using it. If someone has to cancel a transaction, it gets hung up as status "pending". No one can give you an answer of when that will clear, so you can use that monetary benefit for vision, hearing, or dental. I was told it normally takes 48 business hours. Mine has been 72 hours, 3 business days, and still no answer. Ruins my whole impression of HTA.

Have not received a monthly medical statement since last year. Talked to concierge team last week and was told they switched administrator Jan 1. The new admin has had problems but as of this week all was well. So today I received another communication from the new admin in Massachusetts. It was a denial of services for Randolph health, which has been covered as long as I can remember. You have no way to talk to management. Everything is put on the shoulders of the concierge team and concierges are great. Over the years HTA has been great, but now I can only give them 2 stars because of benefit admin.

If I could, I would give Health Team Advantage a negative −50 rating! It's a terrible company and provider! My "personal concierge," Christina, hung up several times during my phone calls. She was rude, arrogant and beyond condescending. I couldn't even get a much-need blood pressure cuff as requested by my PCP. The phone nurse adamantly and gleeful refused my claim after my doctor submitted the urgent prescription. I'm thrilled to be joining United Health Care on 1 June 2022. DO NOT sign up for this G-d-awful insurance! What a waste of one year! So long and good riddance to this woefully lackluster Medicare Advantage plan!

I have been with HTA for about 3 years. I have been very happy before, BECAUSE I AM HEALTHY AND DIDN'T NEED THEM!

Now that I do they have failed miserably. I spoke with Stephanie today to try and find out what my out of pocked would be for 2 foot MRI"s. I even had the codes. She said that is impossible because the wing of her company that has that info will not talk to her but only to doctors and neither will they talk to me. I pay them every month and they WON'T GIVE ME THE INFO I NEED!

i look forward to switching to a co. that knows how to provide actual coustomer serevice.

Horrible Health Insurance.
My Mother has been with Health Team Advantage 2 years too many. Not only does she have her copayments to pay, she normally ends up having to pay a majority of her medical bill as well. Her Insurance Agent finally came to her home after I called her several times, letting her know that medical staff were complaining about her Insurance, "Health Team Advantage". Hopefully, there will be an improvement with her 2021 Insurance plan with Humana Gold Plus.

Very good insurance. However, lately when I have called the Healthcare Concierge I get someone who apparently is in training. They put me on hold several times to either look up the answer or ask another employee who is more experienced. This is very annoying and every time they come back they ask another question that will give them information to put me on hold again in order to find another answer. This has happened 3 times in the last 2 months. Other than this, I have been pleased with the insurance.
