After tornado damage to our home's roof and the roof of our detached garage we needed to replace our cedar shake and decided to go with a synthetic cedar shake. We contacted three manufacturers of the synthetic product and two of them had a suggestion to the contractor I should contact. We were so fortunate to find Chris Braswell, owner of Braswell Construction Group and a Reynolds Lake Oconee resident.

Chris dealt with our insurance company who by the way is Chubb insurance and I found out there is none better than Chubb. Chris through his knowledge of the synthetic product was able to explain why certain things needed to be paid for by Chubb and was able to get the entire roof, gutters, and wood repair covered. Then he got the approval from the Reynolds Lake Oconee ARB for the synthetic cedar shake product. We chose the product made by CeDur which is manufactured in Colorado and after a couple of plant shutdowns due to the virus we finally received our roofing material in mid August.

Chris's crew tore off the old cedar shakes, put on a product we had never previously heard about - Ice & Water membrane. Then the synthetic cedar shakes are nailed on top of the Ice & Water membrane and the nail holes seal because of that product. The replacement was done in two days and the area completely cleaned up before the crew left. Copper on parts of the roof was done next and then gutter replacement was completed. An amazing job done by Braswell Construction Group.

Some times you find the right company and person to do a job. Chris Braswell is the person and his company is who we would highly recommend. Please drive through the Creek Club Cottages and see our new roof with the shiny copper and two houses down the new roof of our neighbor who also used Braswell Construction Group.

Braswell Construction Group is hands down the BEST Roofer in Greensboro GA! We recently bought a commercial building in Lake Oconee that needed an entire roof replacement. We did our due diligence getting quotes from all local roofers and it was evident that all except Braswell Construction Group did not have our best interest in mind with regards to what we actually needed that would provide value and protection for years to come - but also they were price gauging us. On the other hand, Chris Braswell was thorough in his inspection and assessment from the beginning. He gave me recommendations of what we needed with costs, and photos to back up the recommendations during the negotiations of the sale which helped tremendously. He also started the job when he said he would, and finished when he said he would which goes a long way in my book!
