I love Dr. Whitesides, and today was my first day meeting him. He did an awesome job by pulling my teeth today. Before I knew it, the tooth was out. I am sooooo glad, I came to Lakeside Oral Surgery. The staff was very friendly from the time I walked in the door. Last but certainly not least, I am grateful for my nurse. She was very helpful in this process. I appreciate everyone. I am very satisfied.

My experience here was horrible. My daughter went for an extraction and was asked by Dr Whiteside if she had eaten pass 12:00 am . She told him no she ate at 8:00 pm . Dr. Whiteside then ask her is she sure because if not once she goes under the anesthesia and if she starts to vomit and it gets in her lungs she will become an organ donor . That’s no way of talking to a child . I then ask the lady at the desk why would he say that she tells me “well he’s telling the truth if that happens she will die “. Dr Whiteside was very unprofessional very rude . His nurse that was with him was nice but I wouldn’t send my dog here .

I was recently referred to Lakeside Oral Surgery by my dentist, but my experience was far from pleasant. During my initial consultation, I was informed that all my teeth could be extracted in one session under a single anesthesia. I was instructed to revisit my orthodontist for an updated referral and a 3D scan, which I promptly did. My orthodontist’s office mailed the 3D scan and faxed the updated referral to Lakeside Oral Surgery a month before my scheduled procedure.

On the day of the surgery, after driving nearly two hours, checking in, and paying my copay, I was told by a dental assistant that they had not received my referral or 3D scan. This left me confused since I had ensured the documents were sent well in advance. Despite this, I was called back to the treatment area, where Dr. Lee Whiteside, the oral surgeon, appeared unprepared and unsure about why I was there, or which teeth needed to be extracted.

Dr. Whiteside’s questions about my orthodontist and a 3D scan left me bewildered, as these matters had already been addressed. His uncertainty became even more apparent when he inspected my mouth and said, “I think this is the tooth I’m supposed to pull.” He further suggested, “Maybe we can pull four today and you can come back to pull the rest.” This lack of preparation and confidence made me extremely uncomfortable, so I decided not to proceed with the surgery.

While my experience with the surgeon was disappointing, I want to commend the front office staff for their exceptional customer service. The ladies at the front desk were professional, accommodating, and helpful throughout the process.

The waiting area was clean, quaint & comfy. The office staff was very helpful & professional. We were running late, therefore we called ahead to inform them & the receptionist was so polite. The visit was great overall.

Dr Whitesides is a superb surgeon. He made my son comfortable with the whole procedure
(4 wisdom teeth removal). There is nothing that I can think of, that could be improved upon at this office. The staff were all polite and professional and the doctor is exceptional.All aspects were excellent in every way. One last note;
Dr. Whitesides is not arrogant, he is professional. There’s a difference.

From the time I walked into the office of Lakeside Oral Surgery until the time I walked out I received A1 professionalism and loads of warmth. Dr. Whiteside was thorough and extremely explanatory as to what he could do and how. Also, the intake nurse was very good in going over your medical history and meds. taken. I feel most comfortable for the procedure that I must under go.
