BEWARE!!! HACKED and DIDN'T NOTIFY ANYONE!

If you have Recently received an email from Randy Sanders and or Sanders Associates, (insurance provider in Bremen GA) that shares a PDF file with you, Do NOT DOWNLOAD or OPEN!!! Please continue reading!

I contacted Randy Sanders with Sanders Associates asking for additional information in regards to a file received, which was a shared PDF file. I was told by Randy that they were hacked and we do not need to download or open the file. In the meantime, I had already tried to download the file multiple times in various ways and also on a couple devices. When I asked Randy to notify it’s consumers/customers his response was “...yes we can do that yes we should’ve done that…“ I, of course, agreed and also requested that in the future, they please not wait and do so immediately. He said he would.

You would think that anyone in today’s marketplace would have a policy in place to notify all consumers immediately! They should have immediately contacted IT and sent a notice to all customers. In fact Randy himself had said he spoke to his computer guy, (note: computer guy, and not IT) And he THINKS that if you didn’t open the file, then you shouldn’t be affected. To me this is unethical and bad business. He has no idea if anyone has been affected yet and he doesn’t even have an Internal IT person, he just spoke to someone that knows about computers.

It has been 3 days since my request to Sanders Associates and we have still yet to receive a notification from anyone.

If you have been hacked as a result of this, please respond and even if you have NOT been hacked as of yet, please share this with others so they are not a victim of fraud. This should be unacceptable and as the consumer, we need to make others aware and prevent this from happening in the future to ourselves and or a loved one.

In the meantime, due to such negligence, Sanders and associates should provide a protection program for their customers in the meantime free of charge.

Do not recommend - you can't even get them to answer the phone. Does not follow-up with return calls promptly. I never got a return call from an agent - it just appeared to be the admins. Was told one thing, then called back a week later and said something different. Very difficult to do business with - found someone else.
