In 2014, we were at a loss about how to organize our finances for our upcoming retirements. We had 401Ks and brokerage accounts, but we had no clue about the transition from "putting-in" to "taking-out". Our estate lawyer suggested Heritage, and from the get-go we knew we were in good hands. The introduction was thorough and detailed, and all of our questions were patiently answered. Their proposal for us was equally reassuring. From that point on, our Heritage reps consolidated everything, including our numerous insurance policies, which were carefully reviewed. Regular meetings have kept us abreast of our holdings and policies, even with our move to NYC and the pandemic. When we email with a question, it is handled immediately. To our great relief, our reps communicate with our accountant and insurance agent. We do almost nothing for our taxes these days.
At one point, the team also helped us handle a sticky family-financial problem with discretion and wisdom, for which we are eternally grateful.
We admire how there is very little staff turnover at Heritage, suggesting a supportive, stable work culture. They also are careful to mentor and train new college graduates, and it's a pleasure to watch them grow professionally.
Finding Heritage was the best thing that's happened to us, second only to retirement! We regret only that we didn't go to them much earlier in our careers.
