I had an amazing experience at REI San Diego. I walked in with some snowboard gear I was considering trading in and, more importantly, looking for a boot-fitter who wouldn’t steal my fiancée. My expectations were exceeded on every level.

Once I arrived, Chas immediately greeted me and asked if he could help me out. Chas took the time to explain my trade-in options and even dove into details about sizing and brand compatibility. His expertise was fantastic, and I can only hope every REI employee I encounter in the future brings the same level of brilliance.

After assisting me, Chas introduced me to Pat N. for the boot-fitting. I was pretty nervous. Finding a knowledgeable boot guy in San Diego is like discovering a unicorn, but Pat was the real deal. No funny business, just pure boot fitting snowboard genius. I half expected him to channel those infamous Reddit boot-fitter legends, but thankfully he kept it strictly professional!

Pat ventured into the back warehouse to hand-select a few boots that met my requirements (Step-On compatible, and in a size that is impressively big). I got to try on a variety of options while Pat shared his boot-fitting wisdom. Together, we found the perfect pair. And when I say perfect, I mean these boots feel like LL Bean Furry AF Slippers dipped in snowboard gold (DC Control - Step-On). I'm wearing them right now. On my couch. At midnight. And they feel so good.

Every person I interacted with was patient, friendly, and eager to help. Thank you, REI San Diego, for a truly memorable experience!

Incredibly nice and helpful blonde woman saved me hundreds on a new ski jacket! Showed me the returns section with brand new but discounted jackets. Got a $400 jacket for $98. Thank you!!

Una tienda increíble para equipo de campamento y hiking. Y los vendedores muy amables. Te recomiendo ir con tiempo porque es enorme y hay mucho que ver.
Esta tienda tiene dos naves, donde dividen las cosas de camping y hiking y otra para ciclismo y nieve.
