Needed some warm boots for a trip to snow country. Went in and they had several options in my color and brand preferences. With the staff's help, we found exactly the right shoe, fit, and within the budget. Very thankful for the assistance. The staff is truly knowledgeable and genuinely cares about helping the customers.

I had not realized all the additional training and experience goes into this place and its staff!
Don’t listen to that one bad review from a dude who only gives out negative reviews everywhere he goes.

This place is a bit creepy. I've been here a handful of times and made purchases on every visit. Yet in each occasion I was uncomfortable. Employees suddenly appearing to straighten shelves in every aisle I browse. And in all occasions being watched like a paranoid hawk would do. If I ask where i can find a particular piece of gear, rather than point me in the right direction, I hear one employee say to another, " follow him back there and show them what we have." This is under the guise of appearing to be friendly and helpful. So obvious.
Not wanting to go through this discomfort of the store vibe, I called them instead about a piece gear that no one else had in stock. I was looking for a footprint for a Big Agnes Copper Spur UL 2 I had just purchased. Whoever answered the phone asked me to hold for an expert. The "expert" got on the phone and made some bizarre claims about Copper Spur UL 2 tents saying that the UL2 is a two seasons tent and the UL 2 Mountain Glo is a four seasons tent. I almost spit my coffee out.
This place is creepy, has an eerie atmosphere, and very misinformed about their own gear.
Never again. I'll drive the extras mile for REI or order online. Either way is better.

One of the best gear shops I’ve ever been to. Stopped in to pick up some shoes while hiking the AZT. The people here are so kind and knowledgeable. They have pretty much anything you’d ever want for any outdoor activity. Wish I love closer haha
