While I understand how helpful the service center is in providing families in need with food etc, I came here several years ago inquiring about health insurance as they have workers who are supposed to assist you with your Masshealth application. I was 17 at the time and practically homeless, sleeping on my sisters couch. Even though I was within the income limits, I was told I was not eligible for Masshealth because I had enrolled in college. Because most colleges offer insurance plans to students, I was expected to purchase insurance through my school (which was thousands of dollars, which I could not afford!). Several months went by and I eventually was able to purchase a health plan that I could barely afford. At that point I had accumulated thousands of dollars of medical debt, between not having insurance for several months and then the copays of my extremely expensive Aetna college health insurance plan. When I called the Health Connector myself they were able to assist me with getting health insurance. Seeing as I was 17 at the time and just figuring out stuff on my own, I trusted the word of the staff here when she told me I was ineligible for Masshealth or a Health Connector plan. I wish I knew then what I know now, but it's too late. My experience was so unpleasant and the woman who was supposed to assist me clearly had no idea what she was doing. Staff here needs better training!

I appreciate the hard working volunteers. They are always very kind. The food is very good and great quality. I am truly grateful for this facility. I thank you once again.I've been struggling financially and live here alone. It's a blessing to be able to come here. I was able to receive some financial assistance. I did however experience some unpleasant understanding with the financial intake. They are lacking communication skills with the intake process of financial needs. I felt they were not sympathetic if you don't have a place to go. I've worked 42 years and now on SSDI. Apparently the migrants get more assistance then someone who has worked her whole life as an American Citizen. I was really surprised how they did not care about my hardship. Their soft way of saying sleep in your car.

Highest praise for the folks at the FSC. Mostly volunteers but all great people. And high praise for their mission which they seem to carry out effortlessly. The service and help that they kindly and graciously provide to our community is an amazing lifeline. God bless them all and thank you from the bottom of my heart.

I've had a number of interactions with the Falmouth Service Center both in dropping off donations, and in picking up/being served here. The services offered are generous and a blessing to those in need, they operate an efficient production, are careful to educate their clients/visitors on the opportunities available to them for resources, are kind and compassionate. (Patient when I arrived late the first visit, not realizing they were closing up)

If you have anything to give: definitely get involved and donate and serve here!

If you have a need: go check them out and know that you will be treated with kindness and dignity.

It's a great place that helps the community. The food pantry is great and everyone working there is very friendly. You can go there once a week. You pick your food from a list and volunteers go and load up your cart. No judgement zone for sure!

I volunteer at the service center every year stocking the shelves with Christmas gifts. It’s a happy place with lots of caring people. We all have our own role and work together very well.
It’s so nice to have such a facility here in Falmouth.

Hand-in-Hand Thrift Shop is a very well-run store...everything is organized and displayed in an appealing manner. I can’t help myself but I keep dropping in to see what’s “new”. I’ve found everything from missing pieces to my unusual and expensive hand-made dish sets to collectibles that my husband enjoys. Not like other thrift shops I’ve observed at all. Well-done Falmouth Service Center!
