I refused to believe the reviews thinking how heartless could someone be at a place that is supposed to provide support but sadly, I was wrong. These people are absolutely horrible.
I received an email stating if I wanted to progress things quicker I could visit a local office so of course, I did. Once there, I was told I couldn't be helped because there were 2 people ahead of me that were also waiting. Mind you, it's 11am, but I guess their lunch hour is more important to them then my children eating anything at all.
It's sad that people end up in a situation they're completely unfamiliar with and the people put in place to help, don't care enough to actually help.

The receptionist is quite rude and the other is snippy. Do you not know that those who go to your office are probably already stressed/depressed due to being in a position to be needing foodstamps? You should find another job or stop acting like highschool mean girls (and boy) and treat the clients with respect.

I can never get through this office over the phone and when you go in person that’s always a waiting game no matter what I’ll try to call the one 800 number and they never picking up the phone

Much respect for the ladies who were working here today. There was a client in front of me who was acting like a child throwing a temper tantrum, being extremely rude and disrespectful, she even threw her ice coffee on the ground and these workers handled it well. They were somewhat hostile towards me in the beginning but I don't blame them when they have to deal with people like that, they were kind as soon as they noticed I wasn't there to start problems. There is a difference between people who think the DTA owe them something and actual people who are just trying to get their life back together after a bad time in their lives. Treat these workers with respect, they already deal with so much as it is dealing with adult children all day.

Professionalism is needed in this office. Spanish workers speak to you in a Rudely manner,as if they’re disgusted. Can’t even call with a simple question and being told none sense as she caught herself in the middle of her own lie. Stop being lazy and do your job! Another thing YOU never hang up on someone that’s poor communication skills that it’s a MUST have in these types of offices. It’s a shame to have people who gives a flying fly about any of us but just care about their paychecks. Let’s treat each other with more respect as I myself am Spanish no racism here 😊

Good luck getting help if you're white. Illegal immigrants....NO PROBLEM. Absolutely UNACCEPTABLE. They don't count certain bill's. THEY DO NOT CARE IF YOU'RE WHITE. Knocked my fs down to $16. Looks like ANOTHER lawsuit against them for discrimination. This is absolute discrimination and is absolutely UNACCEPTABLE. These people are LIARS.

I arrived at 730am, and was able to speak to a counselor within 15 minutes...she evaluated my situation and was able to set me up with a card and emergency funds for the next day. They were very efficient and polite.
