I was told by Paolo I was insured, I drove over the States thinking that I had my insurance active after signing the application. I went to Service Ontario on Friday (after a week I’ve signed my application) they typed all my information into the system and guess what?I didn’t have any active car insurance.

I was lucky I wasn’t stop by the police or involved in any accident.
I finally got a reply from Paolo after a week I’ve been trying to reach him out, and now that I’m asking him to kindly cancel my application, he sent to my email a temporary slip!

I DO NOT recommend these people at all, full of bs

Broker Gian does not respond and when you text or email him he lets you know that he doesn’t work for you and doesn’t need to reply till he wants to. It’s been 3 days and he tells me to go contact another brokerage. Unreal customer service by him. Wouldn’t recommend Gian as your agent.

I worked with Rai broker Paolo who turned out to be the worst insurance broker imaginable. Here are the issues:

As a broker:
1) he doesn't bother find out the clients personal situation and preferences
2) he never ever picks up his phone
3) he typically calls back on messages left between 8 and 9 PM, sometimes the same day often the next day
4) emails are typically answered within 2-4 days.
5) He doesn't seem to understand the difference between the insurance companies he works with. To him Aviva, a global insurance company with exceptional service, is equivalent to the Saskatchewan General Insurance (SGI) which was unable to even supply the insurance agreement a week into the contract because they misquoted the original quote and hence voided the already signed contract.

I know there is a lot of bad insurance companies, but it's the job of the broker to understand and explain that. To Paolo it's completely incomprehensible that is is his job.

I would like to bring this to everyone's attention because it's really hard to believe and live: my friend who is new to Canada as a refugee contacted Rai Grant for car insurance. Fatih and Murat filled out all the forms and sent them to his address, without telling him what the monthly payments are. This is what they did when he transferred one of his cars in the name of his brothers. His insurance was so high that he almost fainted when he saw the monthly payments. Every time he contacted Fatih and Murat, he asked what his monthly payments would be, but he was always told that they didn't know until the insurance issued the documents and he got them by mail - that's the information they should tell you first and how can you sell something without telling him the price He is not a millionaire or does not have a luxury car. This is really unfortunate, and he was left in a situation without money for the coming month because he was not prepared for such high payments. When he contacted Fatih, he was even more disappointed after Fatih responded with such a comment: "If you don't like Canada, you can look at other options, countries. Who are you to tell him or someone in general to look at other options or other countries?! Where is the professionalism? He is not an acquaintance or a friend, he is a customer, and the customer is always right in the WORLD OF CUSTOMER SERVICE. Dear customer, I hope you will make a good decision.

I had a very pleasant experience dealing with Rai Grant Insurance Brokers. I was able to save about $750 a year on my car and home insurance. That is quite a saving! Moreover, I received very prompt, courteous and professional treatment. My price quote was provided by Steve Moses. I could not ask for better. Needless to say, I gave my business to them after I had stayed with the same insurance company for 28 years. Also found out that my first accident was FREE...just like other insurance companies...but without the high cost. Thank you Rai Grant!

They have 60's customer service in place. No way you can talk to anybody. You will get transferred voicemail to voicemail until there is no more transfer options. Forget about getting call back.

I got good insurance and had no issue with end insurance company but had to cancel due to VERY poor customer service from Rai Grant
