I can't say enough about Derek, the electricians and panel installation team!!
Derek answered all my questions as I was considering solar. He explained everything clearly without being over complicated.
The installation teams were incredible and so nice.
The behind-the-scene administration team who did all the paperwork and made sure I was registered properly for all the programs was top notch.
I received my 1st National Grid bill since the switch and My Generation was spot on with their energy generation estimates.

Don't bother with those people who go door-to-door... just call My Generation.

I had a great experience working with My Generation Energy. I looked at several other vendors to get solar panels and a battery installed but they rose to the top. Some others provided lower quotes up front, but when I dug deeper it became apparent it wasn’t the same quality equipment, knowledge or service.They know the best equipment, local regulations and inspections required to keep the process running smoothly. The team was transparent, honest and hardworking in all interactions. Everything is working well post installation. I give a special recognition to Abe who explained every step and was excellent at troubleshooting anything that came up. Highly recommended!

I’m fortunate to have been able to see My Generation work over the years. I have worked at other projects that solar was installed by My Generation so I knew right away when we were building our new home that we would be using them on our own home too. I am an electrician and Abe worked with me to come up with the best layout and design and install that was efficient and gave us the most coverage we could have, which in our case was 27 panels. The enphase app is definitely a great tool to check in on to see the production amounts in real time as well as fun . I can’t say enough about Abe and the crew and the quality of workmanship and high level of professionalism that they provide. I recently had a 36 panel system installed by Josh and the team at My Generation Energy. Two of my close friends are customers of Josh and MGE who are very satisfied with their experiences. After my positive experience I’m enthusiastically recommending them to anyone I speak to about adding solar to their home. Solar is a no brainer here in MA where the cost of electricity far exceeds the national average. ROI on my system is under six years, the cost per kWh averages out to less than half of the current Eversource rates and is shielded from inflation in the future.

I research large purchases for months before moving forward with the best option. I solicited solar quotes from two of the national companies and another local company. Josh’s MGE quote wasn’t the least expensive, but hands down the most comprehensive with superior equipment and the excess capacity I was looking for. The national companies were trying to shoehorn me into a 19 panel system based on current needs, but I wanted to ensure I had capacity for future electric vehicles. Everyone I knew who has solar said the same thing: get more panels than you thing you need. Josh gave me the option to go up to the max allowed by Eversource.

The timeline for my install was ridiculously fast. From contract to approvals to install to active was seven weeks, I was expecting 3-4 months. The install could’ve been done sooner, but I was out of state for the first available installation appointment.

The install team was a well oiled machine, you could tell that those five guys are extremely familiar with the installs. Total install for the panels was about 5.5 hours and they look great. The two electricians were great and were on site for about eight hours. Their work is very well done and they tied everything into my standby generator without issue. I was surprised at the efficiency of the install process.

Once the system was installed it was time to wait for inspections and Eversource. Josh and another MGE employee met the town inspector a week after install, everything went smoothly. The more surprising part was Eversource, eleven days after install I received an email about installing the net meter within a week. Eversource showed up the next morning and completed their install and gave approval to turn on the system.

I’ve had the system online for six weeks and the production is great. The Enphase app is somewhat addictive, I like the ability to monitor production in real time. I’m very pleased with the system provided by Josh and the team at My Generation Energy.
