Terrible experience. Estimator quoted job at $9990 in July 2018 for building demolition. I sent $5000 deposit, contractor disconnected utilities to property and estimator told me $3850 remained on my deposit. Permitting delays occurred and during that time estimator revised quote to $12,250 and then $16,000 for the job. That’s a 60% increase in a year. So, I told Bortolotti I’d hired a new contractor and requested a return of my deposit. They still have my money. The owner will not return my calls, the office staff offers no help, estimator will not return my calls or emails. In 40 years on Cape Cod I’ve never been treated so rudely. Would never, ever recommend this outfit. I plan to contact the attorney general’s office and small claims court if my balance is not returned. I have all correspondence and copies of the cancelled check. This is a legitimate complaint against a contractor who took my money and has not returned my balance for work not performed.
