When my roof was damaged in a storm years ago I was told the roof was old and not covered. Years later my 5 year old new roof got damaged in another major storm storm and i was told that maybe the workmanship was bad and Allstate refused to cover it. I appealed and still got denied! A week ago I switched to Amica. Today I tried to drop my Allstate coverage and Joselin gave me the run around. She made me call amica for a cancellation request and they do not do that. Rhode Island is a state where you can verbally drop insurance. I am now going to another Allstate office in my town in an attempt to drop Allstate before they charge my account. Terrible service and terrible coverage. Joselin is completely incompetent! Please do not purchase Allstate house insurance. When you need them after years of paying they will not cover you!
I have now logged on again to update this post. This office has now sent a certified letter that I have to pick up at the post office. They are fully aware that I have cancelled in person and have amica insurance and they are still harassing me. The last thing I would ever do is give Ronald Newmans office access to my Alica account numbers. This cannot be legal to try and coerce former customers into giving them access to your new insurance provider. I may have to seek legal counsel.

Ron and his wife worked very hard with us on a tricky flood rider on our home. They were both friendly, trustworthy and professional. They followed up on things when they said they would and returned calls promptly. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again.
