This company is the absolute worst. I used them for a commercial insurance policy years ago and they sent me an audit this past year which was very time consuming (especially for a policy that expired 3 years ago) further more a legal notice came in to appear for a claim that was filed with them back in 2020 which they should have defended my company over since it was covered under their policy. Anyway they took 4 weeks to get back to me on whether or not they were going to represent my company at the hearing and they literally left me waiting until hours before the hearing to tell me whether or not they were going to represent our company in court. I've been dealing with insurance companies for 20 years and never have I had people blatantly lie to me and utterly disrespect me by promising answers by specific times and then never hearing back from them. You can do better than this company even if they are saving you money it's not worth it.

This company is the worse! Do not get a policy under this company. My home had damage to my roof and drain spouts from hail and wind storms, and a leak from the roof into my kitchen. I had several contractors come out and say that the leak came from the roof but QBE refuses to acknowledge this. The field adjuster said one thing to me in person but then put something different in his report which downplayed the damages. The desk adjuster has been ignoring my calls and emails. I have a huge hole in my kitchen ceiling for the last two months that probably wont get fixed anytime soon under the claim. They take your money every month but refuse to honor your claims. Shame on QBE!

This Comapnies renters insurance was very affordable but the service is horrible. I filed a claim in September for items that were stolen at the time of the claim I present all required documents, police reports receipts, proof of purchase, and pictures. For two months I still haven’t received any follow up from the adjuster on the status of the claim, not even to say I received your documents and we are working on it. I called several times and was always told that the adjuster was not available and the adjuster manager was always in a meeting no matter what time of day I called. I don’t believe in paying a company that can’t even communicate with you over the phone about your claim. This is why I pay. I’ve since cancelled my policy with this company and will be seeking renters insurance elsewhere. Very dissatisfied with their service.

Horrible insurance company. I had an apartment fire and it took QBE 2.5 weeks to come out and assess the damage. After the liability adjuster investigated the property, me nor my apartment complex never heard from QBE again. We’ve been calling, texting, sending emails and voice messages. Unresponsive. Due to their lack of response, no repairs to my apartment can begin since my complex has not received the insurance money. I have now been out of my apartment for over a month. Living in various hotels and air bnbs. Not to mention, all these expenses are coming out of my pocket and is more than a months rent. Please do not work with this company.

I used residentshield for renter's insurance which is under QBE - do NOT get a policy with them. I was on hold for almost an hour and then when I finally get to someone, the person was very rude, cut me off mid-sentence constantly, tried to think/tell me he knows more about my apartment lease than I do, and then hung up on me. All without ever answering my question / solving my problem. If this is how they treat customers asking a simple question, I cannot imagine how much worse it will be if a customer has to file a claim and needs to get a hold of them. Absolutely disgusted with his behavior, do not waste your time or money here.

Following a hail storm, with significant roof and siding damage, we filed a claim with QBE. At first the company seemed eager to help process our claim. They were fast, had someone out to inspect damages. Sadly, their adjuster didn't write up our roof and siding damage into one report. We received our first check for the roof damage. After contacting QBE and requesting the siding be addressed QBE initially stated the claim was resolved (closed). Our contractor even addressed the issue to explain the siding damage was in part due to the same storm, their adjuster was even aware of this. Eventually they covered the siding damage. 3 months ago we receive a letter that QBE is no longer covering homes in New Jersey.
Here comes the headache. We go online and start calling other insurance companies to find new coverage. Our rates are triple! Why? QBE filed 2 separate claims for one hail storm and now we are being punished by all other Insurance carriers! Triple the cost? QBE is not who you want covering your assets. QBE made mistakes with our claim and now we are stuck (on a post covid economy/budget like most Americans) trying to correct QBE's mistake.
I am currently trying to correct the issue (my wife has tried for hours on the phone).
Hopefully someone within QBE will correct their error and this headache will cease to exist.
I will update this review with a conclusion later but for now I Do Not Recommend that anyone chooses QBE for homeowners insurance.

I have never been to physical location but handling my account has been a nightmare. I've attempted to have the billing info changed numerous times to no avail and nearly had my insurance cancelled. Every time a payment is due it's rejected because they still have old billing info. Mobile website is slow and clunky and makes me change my password every time I log in. That involves entering my old password which it always tells me is wrong and then locks me out of my account. Useless mobile site really
