I am a new owner, and I believed I was invited to Williamsburg VA to attend a” new owners orientation”. This was an entire lie. A man named Phil came to us stating something was wrong with our account, and that our loan was sold for higher interest and that I was now having to pay the entire loan plus interest. So a $35,000 finance to $87,000 finance. He wanted us to believe that he could get the loan back by paying $60,000 only. He lied by saying he was emailing “corporate” and that he was really trying hard for us to fix the account. As he thought he had us, he even said he was even going to throw in another free vacation. He lied top to bottom in everything he said. He was rude, always interrupting. When I would attempt to ask questions, as something didn’t feel right, he would cut me off. It was all in an attempt to sell me more points. Read everything people. They will try to manipulate you and have you sign into something you don’t agree with. Unless you have the interest in buying more points, don’t believe anything they say. The list would be so long if I wrote everything that was a lie. The ownership is real, but these people are liars and try to manipulate.

Our family became members of Diamond in Jan. 2020. We had our orientation scheduled here but it was NOT pleasant. It was a sales pitch and we were lied to for 3 hours about what we had purchased in Jan. Then after being lied to for 3 hours by 2 guys saying our ownership ended in 10 years, a guy came out and said it was perpetual like our paperwork from Jan showed. Why can’t businesses be honest? It would lead to more sales instead of not being upfront and honest.

On February 20th I checked into the Historic Powhatan Resort owned by Diamond Resorts. I am not a timeshare owner but purchased a weeklong stay through Vacation Quest.

After checking in, the staff urged me to walk over to a separate counter area for my welcome package. After receiving a tourism magazine I was asked to attend a presentation about the interesting changes related to Diamond Resorts’ acquisition by Hilton Vacations. There would be refreshments. In return I would receive two tickets to Colonial Williamsburg and a $50 Cash gift card. I had to pay a $40 deposit in case I didn’t attend the presentation.

This is all a complete scam!! The following morning (today) I showed up to packaged junk food and a sales person named Nick who asked extremely personal questions and pried into my life. Apparently the company still thought I was married to my ex husband. Nick kept asking about him and our marital status which is absolutely none of his business!!

All of a sudden I got whisked away by a male and female (the female in training) mentioning a misunderstanding about my marital status i.e. financial status. Talk about an invasion of privacy and invoking a feeling of violation. The only positive outcome was getting my $40 refunded. This was a horrible start to my lovely vacation. Please beware and don’t make the same mistake I did!!

It wasn't about Destination X, as we were told! Just trying to sell us more points and make us feel as if we don't have a certain amount of points, we would not be able to go any where for vacation. Very angry! People there is a pandemic out there and financially things can change in a minute. I don't think I will stay at a Diamond resort anymore, even though I am an owner!

Vague upgrades and no info as to what you've being sold.
No one seems to know the specifics of what they are offering you. Waste of my time when I should be Site seeing.

We were held over for an extra hour and a half. After the 120 minutes. Some of the people were pretty nice. But not for us.

We weren't interested in spending a lot more money to buy into something we were promised last year that we already had.
