Stayed here over spring break for a short weekend. Location is great. Very close to Colonial Williamsburg and Bush Gardens which we enjoyed. We did not have the opportunity to enjoy the amenities like the pool or mini golf course or smores. Saw several families enjoying this extra perk. Room was clean, bed was comfortable and it was quiet. It was nice to park outside the hotel room and have quick access to our vehicle. Staff were nice, professional and quick to bring extra towels. Hotel is dated and rooms in the motel like section need some updating like faux hardwood floors. Carpet seemed clean but is not my favorite when staying at a hotel.

We stayed in one of the cottages. At first walking in we thought it was quaint. Then at a closer look, we had to report a few things. Bathroom vanity had a huge nail protruding out of it. Drawers did not close easily. Make up mirror on the wall did not light up, We were told that it is not supposed to. It is mounted to the wall with an electrical cord to plug in, I had to argue a bit to say “Yes, it is supposed to light up! There is a plug”. The shower faucet is loose. Walls thin, could hear neighbors talking and their TV.
The beds were very comfortable with many pillows.
I wouldn’t call this a “resort”. No restaurant. Had to drive to pool and hot tub. Strangest thing, was if you wanted your room cleaned, you had to give 24 hr notice and pay 24.00!!!! What?!!! If you called the desk, you can get towels delivered, trash taken out, ( we did that ourselves because the dumpster close by). They said to put our pile of towels outside. Then they left a bag outside. If you wanted clean sheets they would give them to you to change yourself!!! That’s a Motel. Not a resort to me. We went in the hot tub the last night of a week stay, the water level was too low, the jets were at the water line, splashing us in the face! Not very relaxing.
But, staff was very friendly. Location was great to many restaurants and attractions. No bus or shuttle service. Luckily we had a car.
We took many side trips during our stay, so basically just slept here. Glad we weren’t planning on staying here for enjoyment during the day..

I stayed here for a couple of nights and was pleasantly surprised. The room felt more like a small apartment (minus the kitchen), with a spacious layout that included a king bed, a huge TV, a nice bathroom with a walk-in shower, a small sitting table, dresser, and a functional closet that had a mini ironing board, iron, and a safe.

The bed was comfortable, and I didn’t hear a peep from the neighboring rooms—even though it’s part of a quad-style setup. The area around the property was also quiet, which made for a really relaxing stay.

The grounds were well kept, and the staff in general were friendly and welcoming. Overall, a great option if you’re looking for something comfortable, quiet, and a step up from the usual basic hotel room.

This could be a great hotel for families. There are a lot of amenities for kids. There is a min golf course, heated pool, and other kid activities. If you are traveling for business this is not the place for you. The studio rooms have doors to the adjoining room. These doors provide little sound attenuation. Also this is a dog friendly hotel. Dogs bark and make noise.

Great hotel for families with a dog. Not a great hotel for someone just looking for a place to stay while in town for a training or meeting.

We went for a special getaway for a birthday. it was awesome. the events person at the hotel even put balloons and birthday banners in the room for our arrival, for a small fee. it was awesome. highly recommend. The room was clean and quiet. the bed was comfy. the shower was great and the water pressure was good!!

There was a smell through the hallways almost as if the carpets needed a good cleaning, and we had to plug in an air freshener in the room to get a better smell (it wasn't unbearable...just a faint smell that could've been better), but the room we stayed in made up for it. It was a very nice layout. The appliances, the tub and walk in shower, the fireplace, and bed was excellent. I would definitely stay here again!
