Wish I could give zero, how can you give a family one being special needs 30 days to vacate the property, lady that runs it is a complete joke

I have rented a place from Potomac Housing for almost 3 years and we have nothing but problems with this house we have an infestation of mice no matter how many we catch there are 5 to replace them also we haven't been able to flush toilet paper down the toilet in 2 years if we do it backs up and since we only have 1 bathroom we have to wait till they patched it ( root killer)...If we wash a load of clothes when the washer is on spin cycle it backs up into the kitchen sink and all over my counters and floor the pipes in this house all need replaced and the owner refuses to replace them and when I complained Potomac Housing told me they weren't renewing my lease. I'm sure this has to do with the owner and NOT Potomac Housing because any time I told them about a problem they patched it the best they could and they were very sympathetic when my husband passed this year from cancer...Renters beware of renting 529 N 3rd st in Martinsburg.

Highly unprofessional as others have said. Do not look forward to getting security deposit returned after pre-identifying all the defective/damaged items prior to move in. Scheduling is a nightmare, property "manager" might as well be non existent.

Key Points:
You are made responsible to clean the property on move in, where you would think it's move in ready

Treat the security deposit as rent because they'll find miscellaneous charges to bill you with

Wish a zero star rating was available, one star is a star too much

Great staff, warming environment as soon as you walk into the office. Fantastic rental properties they offer you. Work with tenants during covid with rent. All around....warm, homelike environment. Assisted with other places for rent, and names of organizations that could help. 👍👍

As a property owner , I will never hire them again. The operation department caused many erronius repairs and unnecessary damage to one of my property. All I got is an apology and refusal to own up to their incompetency. Ended up taking my loss with repairs, cleaning, and terminated all my contracts with them. This time I did my research and went to another property management that appreciate their customers and trust doing business with. In all fairness, Suzanne and Tracy are doing their best...

Would not recommend renting from here soley based on one person who works there. Troy is unprofessional and not nice to say the least. I have to call multiple times to get him to call me back. If something broke it would take weeks to get it dealt with. They are charging us for cleaning, even though we did clean before we moved out. It wasnt cleaned when we moved in anyways and Troy knows that, but still trying to take that out of our deposit. Not a good renting experience at all.

I could not move in for 10 days later after I paid rent. The carpet was still dirty and mildew stains and not as clean as they said it was going to be. They decided to replace the carpet therefore I cannot move in for 10 days later but they feel I should not be reimbursed for the rent. After moving in they did come by and made repairs that was needed.

I've been dealing with Potomac for over 2yrs now, I'm from NY & I have property in WV which they manage. My tenants don't even know who I am, They are on top of all my property needs, including maintenance & whenever I reach out to anyone of the staff in the office they are extremely helpful in resolving my needs.
