Love State Farm. The company has treated me well when I have had claims. Thomas Waters Agency helped me through all my insurance needs. Kathy even helped get me adequate coverage of our home in the case of a total loss. The cost of rebuilding after a total loss has increased significantly in the last few years. Ginger is also a great help and guided me through some issues that were resolved in a timely and professional manner.

This has to be hands-down the most painful negative review I have ever had to write, but I see no other choice at this point. Thomas has been my State Farm Agent for more than 30 years off and on and was actually the one whose unbelievable service hooked me on State Farm decades ago in my twenties. Sadly, I guess all good things come to an end. His long-time office manager, Brenda retired some years ago and his new office staff is lacking to say the least. I bought a new Toyota Rav4 Prime about a year ago and as always before buying a new car, I got a quote from my State Farm Agent (Thom's office) beforehand. Quote was $148/mo. which was kind of high but with it being a new $60k 2024 SUV and inflation, I just rolled with it. I am currently being charged nearly double that amount. I have called in multiple times over the past year trying to figure out why that is when I have good credit (I am a Sr Loan Officer and required to maintain good credit as a prerequisite to keeping my professional licenses) and have not had an at fault accident or traffic violation in 20+ years. The lady I speak to (I want to say her name is Christine?) simply tells me that "there are a lot of factors that go into it sir" and that is it. When I asked her to check with her underwriting team to find out why the rate nearly doubled from what I was quoted and is triple what I have historically paid, she got an attitude and stated that it would take some time, and she would get back to me. Never heard from her. I have called in several times in recent months, and no one answers the phone at all or bothers to call me back even though I have asked to speak to Thomas directly. He has always been the benchmark for customer service that I have tried to hold myself to over the past 30+ years. Never in my wildest dreams did I ever think I would receive this kind of treatment at his office, and yet here we are.
