We booked our stay at trailer village because we planned to hike Rim to Rim. It was a great experience. The village was clean and nice to set up our 5th wheel. The store and post office were right there. The shuttle comes to the entrance to pick you up so you don’t have to worry about parking your car or truck. A well run facility. We highly recommend.

Great campground. Paved and unpaved RV lots. Paved have grills. Some sites have a good amount of shade ... others little to none. I know there are tent sites but we only stayed in the RV side. Some campgrounds have hook up and non hook up sites all together but not here. All paved sites where in one section, all hook up gravel sites in another and tent camping was down the road further.
The campground was nice, quiet, and the breezes felt great! We will definitely camp here again. There is a shuttle bus that will take you from the campground to the market (awesome market), the lodge/restaurant, and the rim.

We really enjoyed this park, which is walking distance to the rim of the Grand Canyon - I walked about 15 minutes to Mather Point, one morning at 04:45am, to see the sun rise over the Canyon.

The pitches are pull-through and a good size, and the Park is nicely laid out. It is close to everything and cell phones had good phone and data connections. The Canyon shuttle buses, on the blue line, stop at the entrance to the Park. And the elk do hang around the pitches!

A good place to stop for visiting the Canyon - which was amazing!

Great location in the park for camping. Close to lodge and market place. Short drive bright angel and s. Kaibab trails. There are a few trails leading out from the campground. If you have pets the spots closer to the ends of the road are perfect. Lots of Elk wandering through the campground.

Yes, the RV park is conveniently located within the Grand Canyon, so it must be good because of that. Close to the hiking trails and the store. We stayed in our travel trailer in one of the paved sites in the middle of October 2024 for few nights. We planned on using the bathroom and shower facilities. The bathroom and showers situation is awful. The showers are closed @ 9 pm each day. No one told us about this upon check-in. What a surprise we had going there after 9 pm - no shower for us the evening of arrival after full day of driving. We went during open hours next day. The showers are disgusting and extremely dirty. They were supposed to be cleaned every 3-4 hrs or something like that. They were closed for 30-45 min for the cleaning each time, but they didn't seem to be cleaned at all. There is only 1 sink in the bathroom, which was dirty too and did not appear to be cleaned for days. Disgusting!!! You need coins or tokens for the shower. The coin box didn't work properly and was taking my tokens constantly without activating the shower. Someone has an office there. I complained about taking my tokens and was told it's for maintenance to fix, not for her. I complained about the showers being dirty, she said is for the cleaner to handle, not for her. Not sure what is the purpose of her being there? She only upset me. What a disappointing experience we had! We've been planning and waiting excited to visit Grand Canyon for a while. We will not be staying at Trailer Village RV park in the future. It's way too overpriced with the basic services not working properly. I'm certain my review won't improve the situation. They know they are in the demanding location and people will be staying there no matter what. Hopefully it will help someone. Safe travels!

We absolutely loved staying at Trailer Village June 16-20, 2024. Being right in the middle of the action was wonderful. We used the shuttle system everywhere and it was so easy. We never had to drive our pickup after we checked in until the morning we checked out.

The views were so beautiful. The sunsets were awesome and the signs that help you to know which points are good for which views were so helpful.

There were elk in the campground every day. So cool!! (Be sure to use a disinfectant wipe on your spigot before hooking up your water hose because the elk drink the drips from the spigots. But we do that at every campground so this one is no different.)

Taking walks was fun because we were so close to everything. The shuttle stop was just a few steps from our site.

The only bad thing was the power situation. Even though we booked our site 13 months in advance, I didn’t realize we would need to book first thing that morning so I waited till after work. All the sites on the new half were taken so we were in the old part. I didn’t care because it has full hookups and is still pretty.

But the day before we checked out of Trailer Village, the voltage kept going too low and our surge protector shut off the power to our RV over and over again. I am not exaggerating when I say 30-40 times. We kept the air conditioner off because we didn’t want the power to come back on with the air conditioners on because that’s hard on the RV. So it was uncomfortably hot during those hours.

We called and they sent someone out who didn’t even look in the box. Just told us there was nothing he could do because that side of the park was built in the 50s and there wasn’t enough electrical power and they wouldn’t upgrade it. He left and the power kept shutting off even more. Several people were having the same problem.

My husband called because he is an electrician and he said the first guy didn’t even open the box. My husband said someone needed to at least check the connections. This time an electrician was sent who was very nice and actually cleaned the connections and we had fewer problems after that (but still some).

They offered to move us to a different site. We said no because we were leaving the next day. But it took several hours of our time staying around the RV waiting on the electrician because so many people were having problems.

So my advice is to book 13 months in advance at the very moment reservations open so that you get a site in the newer half. Don’t stay in the older half.

Other than the power, our 35th anniversary trip was amazing.

Nice central location to all of the activities. Very close to the marketplace. If you need to get anything to eat groceries or anything you forgot. Fantastic amount of walking and bike trails. Recommended. Bring your walking shoes or your bikes makes getting around 10 times faster and no parking problems. Do be prepared for weather changes. It can be very hot during the day and very cold at night. Bring all your different types of clothing. All sites are pull through and very easy to access. The only trouble we had was with the first site they put us in. We had electrical problems and ended up having to be moved to a different site. We had pretty good Verizon cell service. Wi-Fi is only available up at the visitor center.
Overall we had a pretty good stay the electrical problem put a damper on that for a little while since it occurred at 2:00 a.m. in the morning. Hopefully they will get that site fixed so nobody else has that problem. Make sure and make your reservations early. We were here in April and had already made our reservations. 3 months in advance. Site was full most of the time we were there.

Great location inside the park. You are walking distance to some trails. Also you can walk to their store which has everything you can possibly need. As we visited Grand Canyon before this was just a relaxing stay. And what better way to relax than to sit at your site with a coffee as Elk roam through!
