Sure enough, they raised their rating back to a 4.9 and deleted what they do not want anyone to see. You are a BAD company.
I found a job on Indeed for a Licensed Health Insurance Agent. I am licensed and was close. I decided to come in to apply. Amber was very sweet as was Chris. Then I met Jeff and Heather. I am a licensed agent and a 65-year-old woman. In all my years, I have learned to read people.
I did pop in for two reasons, I live in the area and my CV does not translate well. I asked if I should come back at a better but was assured, it was not a problem. I had expected to be given an application and an appointment time to come back.
After speaking with Jeff for a short time, he informed me that the ad 'just barely went out.' 'If you can send your resume through Indeed.' This was just after I told him it does not translate on their site and there is nothing about my insurance license on it.
With the ad being 'just barely sent out.' I understood that to mean, we want to wait until we have more to choose from. All the employees I saw were in the age range of mid 20’s- mid 30’s Apparently, I am too old even though I am already licensed, have worked all my life, never sick, dependable, and a damn nice person.
Age discrimination is illegal. There was no other reason to blow me off. Shame on you!!
Someone called me shortly after I was trying to reach out to the CEO. I asked, “are you Dan?” He said, “yes, how can I help you?” Knowing he was not being truthful, I asked again to be sure, “Are you Dan?” Then he admitted that I could not get to Dan and asked if he (HR) could help me. I stated again, I wanted to either speak with the CEO or email him. If not, I would complain. His comment was ‘go ahead.’
Then I got a call from Chris stating he was excited when he met me because they are hiring, and I was already licensed. He asked if I would give him a chance to find out what was going on, so I agreed since he is such a nice guy. He also informed me that if I did put up a review, ‘the lawyers would just take it down.’
So, in other words, do whatever you want but we are going to win. They will sell insurance to seniors, but they will not hire seniors.
