I buy Hirozon Organic Milk (Lactose-Fee), it's good for my stomach. Safeway has this type of milk. I'm looking for some kinds of fruits and vegetables. Most of them are very frest and high quality in here. Last but not least, I like to check out all items by self service. 😍🥰😘

I had the worst Safeway experience of my life with this store. (5760 Cottle Road San Jose, Ca)

I went to customer service to ask a question. I wanted to verify they had a "paper" sticker I needed from customer service.

This clerk named Leezuh told me she had it and I asked if I could see it just to verify it was the correct one.

She said, No! "NEXT!!!"

Said it's a simple request. I just want to make sure I don't go through the whole process and then to find out you don't have the paperwork on your end.

She said, NO! You CANT SEE IT!!!

I asked to see the manager and was told to wait. I waited and told her after several minutes if he didn't show up, I was calling corporate.

About five minutes later, the manager came with a scowl on his face and perched himself behind the counter as if he was defensive.

I told him there was absolutely no reason to treat a customer the way Leezuh treated me and he got the paperwork I needed to see. I was going to shop there but NO WAY!

The work culture at this store appears to be dysfunctional and someone needs training and a customer service wakeup call. Corporate...TAKE NOTE!

I do not trust this Safeway after learning they don't have your back when something happens to you. They will tell you to get lost if you report an incident to them and they won't even show you security camera footage to help you out. I have been a paying customer for years and will no longer be coming here out of concerns for my own safety and the safety of my property.

YOU ARE NOT SAFE HERE! I am a disabled veteran and former Safeway employee myself. Let me tell you: Safeway does not care about the wellbeing of their customers or their customer's property. My own property was damaged on premises and Safeway refuses to show me security cam footage that my insurance requested. Without this footage, I will have to pay thousands out of my own pocket. Even after showing my police report, they completely dismissed me. The managers are easily capable of showing me the 5 seconds of footage I need but they would rather lose the business of me and my whole family.

Avoid this Safeway if you can. My boyfriend's car got hit in the parking lot and safeway won't even show him the security tapes. Their parking lot is already hectic and now I am scared of this area after knowing that you are completely on your own if something happens.

SUMMARY: What an improvement! Emphasis on local grown with plenty of organic foods to choose from
DETAILS: In the past, I wasn't such a big fan of Safeway (or most grocery stores), so I rarely entered. But, in pursuit of my favorite hot sauce, Pico Pica, I found myself inside one. This Safeway is new and modern. Clean. It bombards me with marketing material that is actually important to me. Organic. Local. And, sure enough, up and down the aisles were organic and local food. I found my favorite Pico Pica hot sauce, and yes, selection is something that Costco is thin on. I also picked up a few more items on my way out.

The prices were reasonable, and I was inspired to get a discount card online for future discounts. As with many grocery stores, know your prices. Some items have heavy markups. The specials are good bait, and if you stick just to those, then you will get excellent value.

The employees at this Safeway seemed friendly and happy. (I had issues in the past with other Safeways where they were not so.) So, hopefully, Safeway has improved in this area too and treats its employees well. More frequent visits certainly will reveal if this true.

Regardless, I was pleasantly impressed and will certainly be back to pick up my hot sauce and few more items that catch my eye.

This store very clean, items orderly, staffs friendly, quiet. They have liquors with lots of flavors and kinds, big parking lot etc.
