The WORST home owners insurance ever. Would give zero stars if possible.

I've had 7 different insurance companies over the course of my lifetime each with varying degrees of premium costs, response times, and professionalism. Out of all of the companies I've had PURE has been the absolute WORST.

I moved into a new house in September of 2023 paying massive premium of 11K+ (far over the value of my property) and within the first two months due to a massive storm the retaining walls in the basement were leaking. I contacted PURE immediately and they quickly told me that they could not assist and would be my fault if not fixed. I bit the bullet and immediately dumped 15K out of my pocket to control.the water damage and fix the situation myself with a vendor.

Fast forward to January 2024 and we had another massive storm. This time the roof had a leak that was getting into the attic and even leaked into my sons bathroom destroying his entire bathroom. We quickly called PURE and after a day or two then sent someone to do water control. However, I ended up paying for this out of pocket as they had to investigate once again if this was "pre-existing" before we bought the house.

We then went back and forth for this entire year on who will fix the remaining roof issues causing damage till this day. We brought multiple roofing companies out and had them meet with PURE to assess the damage to determine liability and a resolution. Their adjuster canceled on us countless times. After he finally met with some of them. Even though they all agreed their was damage PURE did not want to pay the claim so they sent an "ENGINEER" of their choice to come back out. Wasting another month while storms and rain continued to pour down further damaging the house. They're engineer once again agreed there was damage but refused to say if it was from a storm during the time we owned the house or if it "predated" my policy which started in September 2023 (complete BS no one who buys a 2M+ house is letting their roof leak while they live in it).

After the engineer sent in his report months went by as it was under "review". Finally I kicked off the appraisal process as part of my policy forcing PURE and an adjuster of their choice and one of mine to come to an agreement. Till this day almost 10 months later they still have not "came to an agreement". As such I will be taking legal action.

I hope others read this comment and understand why PURE is not a good choice for your insurance needs. For full transpency I own multiple properties and have policies with the following companies all of which have been greatly responsive, professional, and at least finalize/decide upon your claims within no more than a month. Geico, USAA, Hartford, Chubb, and All state. Not only has PURE been horrible to work with they are also overcharging me for the policy. My house valued at 2.5M is being given a rebuild cost of 5M (increasing my premium greatly) even though other brand new properties on the market now are going for 3M? This is a complete rip off.

This company is not to be trusted for your home owners insurance needs and I highly recommend you avoid them at all costs.

We have been a Pure member since 2015 and did not file any claims until last May due to a hail storm. The way they handled our claim was on par with the worst in the industry. They sent out third party inspectors whose only goal is to minimize the obvious damage or pretend like it does not exist so that Pure can deny the claim. Both the Seek Now and "engineer" reports failed to include photos of the damage to our roof and other exterior components. I disputed the reports by submitting photos of the damage, but Pure decided to make their decision on inaccurate reports. Awful experience.

Pure is a great insurance company. Terrific customer service, quick payment of claims, and comprehensive support. For example, they provide free tools and products like Ting, which monitors your whole house for electrical issues to avoid fires. Ignore the one star haters, if you have the need for a company like Pure, then go for it!

This company has done an outstanding job of spearheading repairs after water damage in two separate Florida incidents. I cannot praise them enough. Their Customer Service center is wonderful, as well.

My experience with PURE was UNBELIEVABLE! Late last year I got my dream car and just 3 weeks later a women ran a red light and destroyed it, I was heart broken. Her insurance company would only pay $50k, the bill to fix the Murci was $167k. Josh Jones, the insurance guy told me not to worry. Sure enough.....PURE came through...and then some! This allowed me to upgrade to a LP640!!! I did not have to say a thing, they just took care of it. No arguing, no fighting, no lawyers. PURE took what I thought was the worst night of my life, a real nightmare....into a blessing in disguise. I could not be happier. Thank you PURE and Josh Jones @ Coverica.

WORST INSURANCE EVER. ZERO STARS.

In the realm of insurance companies, where reliability and support are meant to be the bedrock of their existence, Pure Insurance emerges as a dismal beacon of incompetence and apathy. My recent ordeal with Pure Insurance following a car collision with one of their policyholders has left me not only disillusioned but utterly disgusted by their lack of professionalism and assistance.

From the moment I reached out to Pure Insurance to report the accident, it became abundantly clear that their priorities lie not in helping the victims but in safeguarding their own interests at any cost. The process of filing a claim was akin to navigating a labyrinth of bureaucratic red tape, with representatives exhibiting a stunning level of indifference to my plight. It was as if my distress was merely an inconvenience to be brushed aside.

Communication with Pure Insurance proved to be an exercise in futility. Their response times were abysmal, leaving me in a state of perpetual limbo as I awaited updates on my claim. When I did manage to get through to someone, I was met with dismissiveness and a distinct lack of empathy. It was as though they had been trained in the art of callousness. Instead of being a beacon of hope in my moment of need, they proved to be a source of frustration and despair.

I urge anyone considering Pure Insurance to proceed with extreme caution. Their lack of professionalism and empathy is nothing short of appalling, and I shudder to think of the countless others who may find themselves at their mercy in the future. In the realm of insurance, where trust is paramount, Pure Insurance has proven itself unworthy of even the slightest modicum of faith.

This is a GREAT company! We have lived on the ocean in Florida for almost 40 years. The last few years have challenged us with several hurricanes, some back to back.
Before each storm, they send us emails on how to prepare and protect our house and belongings. Before PURE, we never had such service.
Unfortunately, as the result of these storms, we have sustained tens of thousands of dollars in damages. In each case, the PURE agents were immediately available to quickly assess and initiate repairs. If an assessor's estimate was less than the cost of actually doing the work, they told us to send the repair invoices, and paid us based on those invoices.
We have never had such great service from any other insurance company (there have been others over the decades), while served by so many knowlegible and empathetic agents.
Yes, our rates have increased, but in keeping with their overall claims paid to their insured.
Bottom line is, we are glad we found them and happy to be among their insured.
