Over my years at APU, I've had good experiences with One Stop, and I've had bad. They're helpful (to an extent) and very friendly...but when I go in for advising, I usually will get mixed messages when it comes to class advisement. I wanted to do a 4+1 MS program, and everytime I went in to get it figured out with my 4 year plan...they would say something different about it. Their advising program certainly needs to change and simplify. There should be ONE adviser for each department on campus that each person reports to according to their major - no professors or any of that advising because that's what screwed me over. Professors should profess...advisers should advise. Most of my fellow students don't even receive advising (or it's not even mandatory), which messes up your WHOLE 4 year plan sometimes! If you're reading this One Stop, hire me and I'll fix your system.
