A very small room and bathroom. The bathroom has a very narrow space between the shower and the sink. Low light on the bathroom and bright light on the bedroom. Strange.
Good things: Clean towels and sheets. The breakfast has a variety of breads, fruit, cereals, juices and coffee or tea. The staff is very friendly. The hotel is well located.
The worst? The noise. You can hear people coming in and out all the time. The metro line is literally in front of the hotel. So you get noise until 1 AM and then it starts at 6 AM.
If you need to rest this is not the place for you.

Roms are small, very cramped, and uncomfortable. If you are traveling with any bag at all, youvwill not have any place to put it. Bed is horrible. AC does work well. Breakfast is really mediocre, at best. Staff is indifferent at best and the lady in the morning at breakfast was rude. Location is good. I would only stay here again if there were no other option.

For a 3 star bed and breakfast I must say I was impressed. Breakfast was great and the hotel and room itself where always very clean, although the room we stayed in had a small leak on the ceiling the first night we stayed. The location was amazing and we would definitely stay again. We found the staff to be friendly and helpful, the only down side to this little B&B is the outside noise from passing metro trains and other guests late at night (which can’t always be helped).

One of the best locations, near the main city, near sand beach, parks and has Lidl and Pingo Doce nearby, and an A line metro station.

Breakfast is super simple and fresh, there are only rooms and reception.

The two issue: my room was as smelly as a dirty toilet when someone tried to use cigarette smoke to hide the smell. So even if I expected tiny tiny rooms in old classic Portugal house, and the room was tidy, the smell just made the visit unbearable.
The hotel is very noisy when there is rain and wind, the doors are not tight and move when the wind is blowing strongly.

For comparison my colleague had a room in this hotel that didn't smell, so you may be lucky too.

Otherwise for a price it is a nice place to stay, esp if you only sleep in the hotel.

I have recently moved to matisihous and booked this hotel as live on same street. The hotel was busy when booked but offered a cheaper non refurb room in little courtyard behind reception. I was shown room first and was perfectly adequate.... Clean and perfect for a few nights. Room rate was good with breakfast. It turned out to be excellent choice. My mum and friend said room clean and comfy bed with excellent shower. The breakfast was simple, fresh and they both enjoyed. Staff on reception all very helpful and made a pleasant stay for my guests.

I expected this hotel to be a little down at heel. Nothing could be further from the truth. It was very well maintained, spotlessly clean, and very quiet and comfortable.||||Staff were very friendly and helpful. The simple breakfast was a great start to the day before heading out for the first coffee and naughty Nata. Beside a tram stop providing easy access to central Porto and the Airport. Great new Lidl supermarket a couple of minutes away - much better than the UK ones. Less that 5 minutes to the beach and some fantastic restaurants nearby.||||I've recently booked a return visit to Porto, and didn't for a moment consider staying anywhere else.

I was very pleasantly suprised by the quality and comfort of my room, due to the price. Tiled floor and wooden furniture have a timeless and local feel. My single room was en suite with small bath and shower. Breakfast was included in the price and was limited in choice but perfectly adequete. There is a really nice family run feel to the place, staff where friendly and accommodating. Step out of the hotel and you are on the metroline, and just a 5 min walk from the beach. This is my kind of hotel, personal, local and well run, it offers great value and a good location, I'm looking forward to my next stay here already.
