Trying to get a quote for my upcoming renewal and I cannot get ahold of anyone whatsoever. I’ve called, emailed, requested a callback and waited, but nothing for over a week. I was referred by a colleague as I’m in the auto industry and definitely won’t be referring to anyone due to the customer service.

And also give compliments to the customer service representative Catresia who helped me making additional information on my policies. She took time to help me with the things that needed to be added. This company denied my claim even with an eye witness who reported their driver came into my land and hit me. They said I somehow struck their driver with the side of my car while moving forward into their driver’s front fender. Defies the laws of physics!

I've probably referred over 100 people to Wawanesa being in auto industry. They use to be amazing however lately the employees are a nightmare to work with. Got a personal quote with my VIN and DL and was told it takes about 7 days to review policies and that I would get a call back. It took over 3 weeks of me calling in to actually speak to someone to try and start my policy just to find out it had doubled since our last conversation.

They are good until you get into an accident. I got uninsured motorist coverage. I make a left turn from a driveway onto the street, crossing the center lane. Other party came into the center lane at area with double solid yellow line and immediately hit me. All capture on video. Double solid yellow lines equate to a wall. Wawanesa claimed I am at 50% fault because it is still considered an hazard that I was not able to avoid. Really, pay attention to someone coming through a wall instead of paying attention to incoming traffic I will get legal if Wawanesa doesn't settle properly. Ridiculous to deny their customers payment and then raise premium.

Update, it could be one of those cases where it depends on the appraiser/personnel that was assisting you with the case. An agent called and she understands that certain driving laws are subject to interpretation. After reviewing the video I provided, her manager changed the 50/50 fault to 100% the other party's fault.

After posting this review, a Wawanesa rep did reach out to me and said they could "make an exception" and cover us. The person I worked with, Krystina Acosta, was very nice and helpful. Ultimately we did decide to stay with our other carrier as even though they are more expensive, the coverage is significantly better. Not giving a five star as I shouldn't have to write a negative review in order to get the service I would expect as a long term policy holder (who has NEVER used the coverage).

I had homeowners insurance with this company on the same property for 20+ years. I was forced to find new insurance last year when their overall rating dropped and my mortgage company no longer accepted Wawanesa. Today I called to see if rating has increased and while it has, they said the are no longer able to insure my same property as the "water risk score" is too high. The customer service person was very nice but could offer no explanation as to what a water risk score is, why it may have changed on my property in 11 months (with no water related claims or issues). She could also not direct me to anyone who could provide an explanation.

This business deserves NO stars! Maybe it's the particular agent who worked on my case. His lack of knowledge and judgement was beyond unprofessional and unethical! The said agent's name is Jose S.

His client backed into the rear right side of my car in the parking lot 6/19/24. The damage to his car was on the rear left of his bumper while my car's damage was on the rear passenger side by rear right tire. He said they were willing to take 60% of fault. EXCUSE ME! It's either at fault or no fault! How could it be a percentage of fault? How was I at 40% fault when his client clearly hit my car backing up to the side of my car! I had already backed all the way out and stopped when his car hit mine! How could I have hit his car (for the 40% of the fault he claimed that I was responsible) with the side of my car?

Any experienced adjuster would have clearly understood how the impact happened. I invited Jose to come inspect my car in person and he refused! It's a shame that Wawanesa hired him, someone who is incompetent and has no common sense! Thank GOD my own insurance told me not to worry and waived my deductible. They will be taking Wawanesa to arbitration on my behalf!

DO NOT do business with this company! A company who has no ethics or integrity will come back to bite you sooner or late!
