Tammy came highly recommended and I'm so glad I reached out to her. She is warm and personable, and when you meet with her it feels like you're talking with an old friend. Tammy is AWESOME and did a great job helping me navigate the Medicare "maze".
I needed to sign up fairly quickly and Tammy's knowledge, and expertise immediately gave me a great level of comfort. She is super responsive and very patient. Tammy easily simplified the complexities of Medicare and helped me find the best plan for my needs. She even identified a less expensive pharmacy for my prescriptions.
Tammy also found a better prescription plan for my husband who signed up for Medicare a year ago (unfortunately, through someone else (before I met Tammy)). We'll BOTH be meeting with her in the fall to review our plans.

My husband and I met Tammy at a Medicare talk that she had at the library. It was very informative and, afterwards, we set up a meeting with her to have her help us with a plan for a Medicare Advantage plan that would work for us. She was a great help and we got the plan that we felt would be best for us. It would have taken me days to go through the plans available, but with Tammy's help, our decision and our applications were done in about an hour. If you need help I would definitely recommend Tammy.

When I made my decision to retire from my job with the Commonwealth after thirty years, I was glad to know I could turn to Tammy Akers for advice on my next steps. My wife and I found the whole insurance question confusing and cumbersome. But Tammy took the time to meet with us on several occasions and walk us through the process. She helped me know when to apply for Medicare, and what decisions I needed to make after that including finding the right supplemental insurance. She also gave us guidance on selecting the best insurance for my wife and son since my was ending with my employment. Retirement can be tricky and a little scary. Having Tammy to walk with us through the transitions made it a lot easier and a lot less frightening. If you're at, or approaching, retirement age, Tammy is the person you want to talk with.

I was so lucky to find Tammy! I needed to get away from my Medicare Advantage plan but I had no idea how to proceed. Tammy helped me to get back to regular Medicare and a supplement as well as dental insurance. We met a few times, she clicked this and that on her laptop and it was done! So easy for me! Tammy is so knowledgeable about insurance and truly enjoys what she does. I was dreading having to call insurance companies and get their automated robots.
