Nope. It takes more than a week to open a CD, and they demand you send them a copy of your driver's license, social security card, and a utility bill to confirm your identity. That feels like so much opportunity for fraud. I've NEVER been asked to submit this info to open a CD at any other bank. Then they send you a link to set up your online account, but it doesn't work for days. The only way you can get it to work is to clear your cache, losing all the data in your browser you don't want to lose just to log into this bank. And when you try to call them about why you can't get into your online account, the phone number in their email about your online account doesn't work. The phone tree gets you nowhere - it just times you out no matter how many times you try to call and press a selection. And you can't respond to their email - it's a no reply email address. When you finally get into your online account, you'll notice next to "POD" (payable on death) it says "no." What? So, then you go to set up a beneficiary to see if that changes the POD so your heir actually gets YOUR money if you die...but if you want to use a trust as your beneficiary, you have to send Barclays a hard copy of your trust. I can't believe it took me this long to just say no to this ridiculous bank. So, then I tried to close the account by sending a message through my online account and they forced me to call their customer service to close the account I had never even funded. At least the phone number they sent me this time actually worked and after proving I am who I say I am (twice) I finally got a live person who could close my CD. RUN. RUN AWAY!

I have ordered convenience checks twice and never received one. I called 2 times and they said it would be between 7-10 business days. I even verified my home address and still nothing.

I tried since March to open a 6 month CD account and the process has been very slow. After a week, I chose to call myself to their customer support. I spoke with a representative and was informed that more verification information was needed to open said account, however, I was never notified about this. I had to call myself and find this information out. I wasted a week waiting when I could have went to a previous banks I've had a CD in before and never had issues. After calling myself and sending the necessary additional verification paperwork, I was told it would take a another week. All in all, since opening to apply for the account and Barclay never getting back to me and saying I needed to send additional paperwork, I essentially lost two weeks, due to waiting for nothing.

Very poor service and no one contact's you if additional information is needed.

They are scam, called 4 times since last year to close my credit card, they put $0.01 cent credit into my account , and no one ever help me to close it, anybody know where we can dispute or report this ?

I’ve had my cards for a year now. They messaged me to let me know my card had been compromised. I called and they cancelled that card and sent me a new one. And all those air miles ! ! !
I don’t understand some of the one star reviews. Waiting on hold 3 hours Just hang up after 20 minutes and call again. Mad because you didn’t know you were approved when you received the card? Then got charged the yearly fee Wooo. Get the app or call and ask for paper statements. They send me paper statements monthly. Yeaaaa.

I have been a Barclays Bank customer for almost half a century but I must say their services are awful. I have been trying to close my account with them but no avail. I wrote them several letters, talked to them on phone but I failed to close my account.

Tried since October to apply for American Airlines credit card. After I was finally approved I was told I would receive card in 5-7 business days . I never received credit card I again called Barclay's today April 19th 2023. I was told to get final approval I would have to unfreeze my credit score again. I originally did this for 30 days. I therefore refused and canceled application. DISGUSTED WITH BARCLAY'S BANK.

Aside from CVS this is THE worst company, EVER. They don't value you as a customer, they will go ahead n charge knowing full well you don't have the card nor activated it. They will inconvenience you when you work, and when you request a specific time to call you back, they just call when they feel like it. If I could punch all these garbage group of ppl in the face l, I would. Bottom line. Don't waste ur time or information on these A-HOLES
