I have been buying insurance for over 40 years and i have never have been treated as badly as i have from canal employees and when i as for higher ups i am refused ! I have paid aprox 750,000.00 in premiums and on small claims treated like dirt and disrespected! My dispatcher gave incorrect temp to driver. That is what was said when claim was filed in parish able product. I called constantly to see what was being done with product as its life was diminishing daily. After 3 weeks when product had to be dumped and had zero value they denied claim ! Where was their timeleness where was their direction Now dealing with a small rollover weather claim. Same deal. Low ball offers. No urgency to reduce exoenses that apply to my loss runs but every effort to take advantage of me. They iffered low ball offers but when bank said this is what it takes to release they then refused to allow me to have a salvage value offer on my equipment — not sure i would want it but the not offering and following usual protocol is the issue— it is clear and i have another customer that had similar situation and his was handled differently
Bottom lone Service is worth the cost. I would rate them negative if i could but a 1 will have to do

My car was hit and damaged by a Canal's insured. Everyone I dealt with - the receptionist, the adjuster, and the manager were courteous and professional. My calls were returned promptly, and everything promised was delivered. Payment was fair and prompt. Great company!

If you want cheap insurance and a company that won’t support their clients…. this company is for you! Canal doesn’t care about you, don’t waste your time or money here. I had an agent friend tell me their rates are cheap, but if I ever filed a claim I’d regret it….. she was a 💯 percent correct. I don’t care if they’re the cheapest rate around I’d never do business with them again.

Thoroughly unpleasant company to deal with. Employees are rude and unprofessional. Heaven help anyone seeking claim resolutions with this company. Their claims adjustors towed my vehicle to their impound lot while I was recuperating from the accident. They never warned me that they were taking the vehicle and never even returned the tags. I don't know what would have happened had I not retained a lawyer to deal with them.

Horrible experience with company. One of their insured backed into my parked truck. They have offered an insult number for a settlement offer for loss revenue. And the manager has even lowered the initial offer, when the original offer they was willing to pay the amount of a rental truck. Now the offer has went below the rate it would cost to rent a semi. Stay away from Canal, worst claim experience ever dealt with. Have called my attorney to deal with this issue. Done fighting it myself.

Horrible just horrible they are slow over talk you the entire time& If I could give 0 I honestly would everyone needs to be fired asap Akai John has a snarky attitude they tell you to week a we to decide if they want to give out information. This canal company needs to be reported to the BBB asap and closed! If one of there insurance clients is at fault you have to wait 2 weeks to get you car seen! & AkAi John said IF she decided to give me a rental after that she’d let me know. These people are no good I have no car and my child has doctors appointments and these people could care less about hold you up in your life because one of there’s do not know how to drive.

It is going on 3 weeks and y claims adjuster AkAki John has failed to respond to any of my voicemails or calls this isn’t professional at all

I had to come here and leave a review. I been with Canal for 2 years and I read a lot of the reviews and was pretty nervous praying that I would never end up in the situation's that people were posting in the reviews. However my truck was total and Canal handle my claim with prompt and good service. I had no issues at all. I feel it was only right for me to post my review. Thanks Canal

Canal Insurance Company has a true diamond employee… Recognition and recommendations for promotion is needed for her above and beyond customer service and attention to detail.
