Very, very disappointed with this local company. My wife and I have had Travelers Insurance for our primary residence through Chastain & Associates for 17 years with no claims. We recently received a letter from Travelers stating that our policy would not be renewed because we didn’t respond to their update requests in time. This came as a complete shock to us. It took over a week to get our agent/rep on the phone. When we finally did, she stated that they sent one email about the house back in April. One email! You’d think that a local company would at least send a letter or try to reach you on the phone when they hadn’t heard back in a reasonable amount of time but no, nothing. Our rep, Lauren, acted like “no big deal” we’ll just find you another policy. Naturally, I began shopping around to other agencies. We ended up replacing our existing primary home policy plus an additional rental house policy from Chastain and went with Allstate, who offered us policies on both homes for 1/2 the price we were paying at Chastain. I try to support local businesses when I can, but can’t express the disappointment we have after being local customers for 17 years. I’m glad we never had to make a claim, as I have no doubt now that it would’ve been a nightmare dealing with them to get paid. Do better Chastain, way better.

Trey and his associates have been the best agency I have used over 30 years! Trey is always responsive and easy when I request adjustments to our coverage. Specifically, our workman's compensation insurance has been painful with other agencies, but Trey and his associates have been a pleasure! The insurance audits have been very easy and fair, so I HIGHLY recommend Chastain & Associates for ALL your insurance. They are AWESOME!

We needed a change from our big box insurance company, the one where there is an agent specifically there to help you with all your needs, but they're never actually there or don't have the answer for you. We were looking for more, a smaller scale business where we weren't just a number and one who is our actual neighbor. We needed more than missed emails, unreturned phone calls, but no clue where to go without going to another big insurance company where we would be treated the same. I passed by Chastain's office in Lawrenceville and thought I would look into it, so glad I did.
Trey was able to work up a quote, tweak it as needed, and start our policy almost instantly. The discounts they have are actual discounts you can visualize, not just assumed they're hiding somewhere and hoping they are in your policy. They are a local business, which is the most important element for us, as we are small business owners ourselves, and understand that customer service is key in customer retention.
Trey listened to our needs for our business and our personal accounts. He offered advice, changed the quote as our needs changed and overall, just made me feel like I was just where I needed to be, far far away from that Jake character at the other company. I look forward to a finally stress free insurance experience.

You never know just how good your Insurance Agent is, until you have a claim. Our car was totaled by someone with minimum limits, so our insurance came into play. We went back and forth with the insurance company but Kristin with Chastain stepped in to help get this settled. We can’t thank her enough for her efforts. She went over and beyond our expectations in resolving our claim.

Our policies for Business Owner Insurance and Workmans Compensation transferred to this agency which we stayed with for a number of years. When we were able to find less expensive policies with the same coverage and canceled our accounts we need their assistance it getting a $1500 refund from Hartford. They refused to assist us. This agency did not care about our plight therefore I would not recommend this firm.

As a business person, COO, and management consultant, and having worked with dozens of insurance brokers around the U.S., Chastain's is certainly the worst insurance agency I have encountered. Most recent example, I asked agent to revisit all the policies I had through them. For nearly 3 years was told that they had selected the best policies for my needs. After asking numerous times I finally researched policies on my own, only to discover I was paying from 60-66% over market for the same, or better, coverage through other carriers not to mention the same carrier they selected for me. I even spoke with the owner about the poor service we were receiving from the agent assigned to us. To my surprise, the owner was more concerned with how I found such good pricing while his agency was at least 60% over market with THE SAME CARRIER. I suggest you get at least 3 quotes before you even solicit a quote from this agency.k
