Kevin Oclaray and his associates are the best! We opted to switch our auto/home/umbella policies from Farmers after our rates increased ridiculously! Farmers indicated that they could underwrite a new umbrella policy (as it had more than doubled!), but after a month of reminding them and waiting, nothing happened. That's when I contacted Kevin. He responded to me the same day, and after doing all of the legwork, found us a new insurance carrier that ultimately will now save us about $2,500/yr! Kevin and Austin were fantastic in helping my husband and me get a homeowner policy for our new home purchase. Getting a new policy in California is a bit harder right now than it used to be. Even though we started looking for a policy 3 weeks before closing, some companies needed a lengthy enough waiting period that would mean pushing back the closing date. Others had limits to the number of new policies they could write each month, which could also push out the closing date. Some could meet the date, but the rates were not at all competitive with our current rates. Others weren’t writing new policies in California at all at this time. We also wanted to bundle our auto and umbrella policies with the new homeowner policy, as it’s much simpler to have everything with one provider. We were referred to Kevin, who contacted us quickly. He was super responsive, and understood exactly what we were looking for. Even though he needed to go out of town on business, he made sure that his associate, Austin, was looped into everything. Austin kept close communication with us while getting together policies that were as good or better than our current policies, with very competitive rates. He also handled communications with our mortgage lender to ensure everything is squared away for our closing date.
