Got a message months ago telling me my payment didn't go through. I immediately called Courtney Owen's and we figured out my bank card had expired. I gave her the new bank card number and figured that was that and everything was straight. Got a letter from DMV today only to find out I have been uninsured since November. No notice nothing! I've been riding around for months uninsured including riding on a motorcycle! If the issue is fixed I will change my review.

Courtney was (almost) completely unresponsive with my simple request of adding an interested party to my renter’s insurance. She ignored multiple calls, voicemails, texts and systematic requests before I finally called another SF agent to ask for help reaching her. (Courtney responded to ONE text on the third day saying she’d get right on it, but she didn’t do anything.) I ended up switching agents entirely. They were able to make the change in 10 minutes, but it took two weeks from when I initially reached out to Courtney. The new agent also looked over my car insurance policy and made two recommendations that would better protect me in the event of an accident.

I don’t think I’ve ever even spoken with Courtney since I switched to her a year and a half ago. I’m giving her two stars because she’s probably a nice person going through something. Still, I think it makes sense to tell people about my personal experience. I sincerely hope others receive much better service than I did.

I am making a long distance move to Virginia. Courtney made the process simple and easy. She articulated all the important coverages for both my car, and my home. Helping me understand how she and State Farm would be there, when I had had a loss. She did all of this over the phone, and made it simple while I was stressed about a long distance move. I would recommend her office to anyone in the area or moving to the area. She also sent me a couple of State Farm koozie’s to use while I BBQ or sit by the pool.

I have known Courtney on a more personal level before coming into her office to see her work her magic. So I know personally how helpful and kind she is. I told her what I wanted and she took her time explaining it to me in a way that didn’t make my head hurt. She also made sure I felt comfortable and didn’t push me into anything or confuse me by just rambling things off that “she thinks I would need”. I walked out of her office saving money and feeling very confident mine and my sons best interest for the future are in great hands with Courtney. So much so that I left my old insurance company after being with them for over a decade.

Go ANYWHERE but with this woman - Courtney is completely unresponsive and negligent towards her customers. She didn't submit a form to underwriting and caused my insurance to get CANCELLED. I drove for days COMPLETELY UNINSURED because of her negligence before I found out. When I called her she said she'd "take care of it," but she DID NOT. I have been with State Farm for over 30 years and have never encountered such incompetence. I cannot give ZERO STARS or I would. This woman is the WORST.
