I was a 5 year reliable client. Very polite staff but they constantly raise their prices. When I attempted to cancel my policy they charged me a $600 cancellation fee which went to collections when I refused to pay it. If you value your money/time or your credit score I’d recommend shopping elsewhere for car insurance.

I canceled my policy with alstate insurance on June an today I received a letter telling I was been charged 114+ . I canceled on June so I can star fresh July with another provider. so they double charge me for the same month. they scam ppl. don't go to alstate

This used to be a service oriented agency. However, a few months ago, I called them to dispute a sharp increase in my insurance bill. The associate I spoke to responded with attitude and a suggestion to look for another agency. I did call another Allstate agency, where a capable associate looked into my records, discovered that my annual mileage had not be recorded accurately and saved me over $800 in the process. I tried to send an email to Dave Thomas but he did not even bother to respond.

CALLED MY "LOCAL" AGENT DAVID THOMAS WHO IS NOT LOCAL TO ME (HES IN SANTA BARBARA AND IM IN SAN FRANCISCO/NORCAL) OR DIRECTLY REACHABLE BY HIS PHONE NUMBER PROVIDED ON MY INSURANCE ID CARD. I'VE GOTTEN REROUTED TO INDIA AND BACK, SPOKE WITH 4 PEOPLE GETTING THE RUN AROUND, BEING ON HOLD FOR HOURS WASTED THIS MORNING

6 months ago i researched for auto insurance to get a cheaper rate on my car insurance ,while i was on line looking at allstate i get a call , this girl at allstate tells me she can lower my auto insurance looked at what i had before and lowerd it by $150 so i signed up and paid in fulled for 6 months ,now 6 months later with the policy coming due my policy has been raised almost $100,so i am right back where i started with my original policy ,and they are billing me $3.50 for their bill to me to pay my policy which was not disclosed to me when i opened my policy, not a happy camper with allstate right now and will be checking into other auto insurance quotes
