The guys at Dynamic Wealth Management (Adam, Gary and Grant) are awesome! They came highly recommended to us by a trusted friend. We felt comfortable with them from the very first time we met them. Their obvious knowledge, integrity and interest in us as people has been very reassuring and appreciated. They have never hesitated to patiently answer our many questions or meet with us as often as we requested. We value the opportunity to work with all three men. Did not inform members of a trust distribution (and K1s) until 3 days before tax deadline. They also decided to mail copies instead of provide electronically, so that they were definitely not be in hand by return due date. This is going to cause amendments within the family. As a CPA, I understand a bit about trusts and when asking about why the trust income was allocated the way it was I was told "it's automatic". Theresa was not able to explain anything and told me that Adam would call me back the next day (1 day before the tax deadline). Nobody called back, poor communication and extremely concerning that the response provided was that they did what was easiest (automatic allocation) instead of allocating based on what was most fair. It is clear that these people do not have the client's best interest in mind.

Based on my multiple discussions with the Trustees they had thought that taxes were going to be held and paid by the trust. They even told me that money was held back to do this. Our K1s were marked final, so this obviously did not happen as expected. Although tax may be higher, this is the option that was preferred because of the inconvenience (and in this case unfairness) of the K1 income allocation. I'm not sure how this communication happened or why Theresa did not understand that this was preferred even if it caused a slight increase in tax paid. We were told over and over by the main Trustee, since she was the one in communication with Teresa and Adam that any income would be "no big deal". When refiling and amending, I don't think that a tax bill of $1,500 for just 1 of the K1 recipients is "no big deal."

I can't speak on how well these people manage money, but I can assure you that tax planning is NOT their area of expertise.

Update after owner response 6 months later: I am not a client, my grandmother was. I was however I am the beneficiary on a K1 that was issued to me and the return was signed by Dynamic Wealth Management. EXTRA WARNINGS that that they do not even keep proper documentation, since this was an issue that I called and left voicemails about many, many (7-8) times.

They're more than their personability as they have protective systems that they explain, with humor, at the breakfasts anyone is invited to almost every other week during snow-bird season.
