I found them through an online lead generation platform, and they were the cheapest, and the only insurance company I had ever heard of on that platform. Never spoken to Burton Harris himself, but his office has been very attentive so far

I had car insurance through this company. After many unanswered emails, including one where I specifically wrote to cancel my insurance in November 2023, I was contacted months later by a Mayra Leon who never answered any question I had as to why they did not cancel my insurance when asked. This company's lack of responses and accountability in not canceling my insurance when requested incurred penalty fees which I do not want to pay. I've offered to pay what little is due WITHOUT penalty fees, but this company refuses to reply to my emails. They have yet to reply to my emails before the recent due date, thus pushing this into debt collection. I've sent all receipts to the BBB which show I attempted to contact them in time, but they chose not to answer professionally or on time. This dishonest company refuses to take any responsibility for their inability to communicate promptly thus costing their customers money while padding the bottom line of Farmers Insurance. Do not do business with Burton Harris Farmers Insurance.
UPDATE 6/20/24: They have now claimed they spoke to the CA Dept of Insurance due to my complaint. Fact is, after speaking with the woman overseeing my case, this company did NOT speak to the Dept of Insurance - once again, this lack of communication, laziness, and lies from them continues. Btw the State feels they should reimburse me the $147 overcharge, too. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE FOR YOUR CAR INSURANCE!

I purchased 3 policies from this agent and paid all of the premiums in full in advance, however every month thereafter I received an invoice in the mail. When I queried Burt Harris he told me to just ignore them which I did.
Three months after my poicies had expired and I had placed my policies with another agent I received in the mail two notices from Credit Collection Services regarding Farmers Insurance Group , both marked past due and with this statement "Please be advised, failure to satisfy your credit obligations may resultin adverse credit information being reported to a Credit Bureau. This could have a negitive effect on your ability to obtain a future loan and/or negotiate favorable credit terms with your business partners"
I called Burt Harris and pointed out that I had paid the entire premimum in advance and asked that he contact the Collection Service, inform them that I had paid in full in advance and send me a letter for my records that stated that I did not owe any money to Farmers Insurance.
Today. August 26 is three weeks since I received the collection notices and I still have not received that which I requested including proof of prior payment.
No one wants their credit inpuned and I have received nothing from Mr. Harris that informs me that the collection action has been dismissed.
Would anybody want to do business with someone like this?
