I initially called them 2 advise that they needed 2 update their records, as I had been receiving insurance renewals 4 someone else. Then I inquired about a homeowner's insurance policy 4 myself. Amy was more than willing & eager 2 offer me a policy until I questioned the quoted price which was more than my existing premium through Farmer's (MetLife). After nearly 10 years w/Farmer's (previously MetLife) I received a Notice of Cancellation alleging that Farmer's was no longer writing policies in California. Funny thing was, I received a Notice of Renewal in the mail for another Farmer's customer, so obviously this reason for cancellation wasn't true! 🤦‍♀️ Amy indicated that the price increase was due 2 a recent water claim, & that Farmer's dropped all MetLife customers. 🤔🤨 So, Farmer's bought out MetLife just 2 cancel MetLife customers! 🤷🏽‍♀️ Just because something is legal doesn't always make it ethical or moral! I advised her that the H2O claim wasn't my fault, & that Farmer's (MetLife side) subrogated the claim through the at fault party. I even invited her 2 speak 2 my previous claim's adjuster 2 verify. Let's just say, Amy is no longer willing & eager 2 write me that policy!

I never claimed my policy was written thru ur office, so ur 1st paragraph in ur reply is not applicable. Since u had no access 2 my policy, as u correctly stated, I provided Amy with my claim # & adjuster info, so that she could verify that I was not at fault 4 my recent H2O claim. Ur next paragraph wasn't really informative either since I clearly stated that Farmer's bought MetLife, & I never suggested that ur office had anything 2 do w/my non-renewal. Isn't that why I contacted ur office 2 begin with- 2 get a quote on a new policy? 🤦‍♀️ Ur quote wasn't 2 my liking bcuz it was much higher than my existing policy with Farmer's, of which wouldn't even include optional earthquake coverage which I currently have w/ my existing policy. Why would my policy premium go up w/a higher deductible n less coverage after yrs w/ Farmer's, absent normal price increases across the board? Usually, the longer ur with a company-the better the deal! 😉 Ur next paragraph didn't tell me anything I didn't already know. I provided Amy w/my claim # & adjuster info, so that she could verify that remediation was completed. The problem arose when I was told about the minimum deductible 4 H2O claims which was being applied when the H2O claim was never my fault. Basically, Farmer's is raising my rates 2 punish me 4 something I wasn't responsible 4. Bcuz I wasn't responsible 4 the H2O loss, Farmer's was able 2 subrogate n recoup their loss! I made that happen bcuz I had all the record, picture, & video evidence 2 prove that I was not responsible 4 the H2O loss! Another problem arose when Amy said I would have 2 install an H2O leak detection device, as a result of the H2O loss claim & bcuz of the age of my home. 😂 AGAIN, another punishment 2 the insured bcuz my home has always been the age it is; I've been insured w/Farmer's, previously MetLife, for nearly 10 years or more & it was never required; and, well, now all of a sudden it is being required, but nobody knows how much this device would cost me.😂 Sounds like another punishment- increased premiums, increased deductible, & an H2O detection device, all at my expense 4 something that I was never responsible 4! 🤷🏽‍♀️ And I did qualify 4 a policy with Farmer's; that's why she gave me a quote, but I am NOT willing 2 pay all this extra $ 4 something I wasn't responsible 4! My thinking is, if Farmer's is demanding an H2O leak detection system on the home bcuz of a prior H2O claim caused by my H2O softener system, then they shld have demanded it b installed during the mitigation, remediation, or rebuild process at the expense of the at-fault party rather than wait until the claim was closed 2 demand this in order 2 renew me at a reasonable rate w/a reasonable deductible! You weren't privy 2 our convo, so u really can't speak abt what Amy said! Nobody appreciates the truth!
