Agents take the liberty to open insurance policies without the written consent of the client. We were charged unexpectedly and a policy was opened despite us declining services and not signing any documents. Shady business, incompetent staff and management is a joke and they are completely unprofessional. We waited in the lobby for about 25 mins before anyone came back to help us. The supposed "manager", who failed to even introduce herself, sat there with a bitchy smirk on her face and refused to provide us any feasible options. A woman with her lack of professionalism and condescending personality should not be in the position of manager.
She had the audacity to say we could just simply stay with the policy even though their services did not meet our needs, and after fraudulently opening a policy and charging an electronic payment without authorization. They asked us to provide documented proof that the charge was made, as if they did not have the ability to see that on their end. Even after providing that document, they could not do anything for us. The end resolution was to:
A) trust them that the policy had been terminated and in doing so, that "should" prevent the charge from posting to the account. Or
B) to wait and see what happens once the charge was no longer in pending status. And if the payment post, to simply call back and they will then at that point issue a refund.
Mind you, they profusely refused to assist us by phone. They insisted we had to go to their office to get assistance with the matter. It's ridiculous to have to drive 20+ minutes to take care of an issue that can easily be resolved by trained and professional customer service personnel.
Rest assured we will never do business with Farmers Insurance or any affiliate.
