The rudest cashier I've ever met. I paid for 2 shopping bags; she gave me one. I asked for my other bag, and she said they're 10 cents. I said that I had already paid for 2 bags, she said I don't know what I charged you for. My receipt showed 2 bags, and she refused to give me the bag I paid for, so I asked another cashier, may I have another bag, which she gave me with no problem. What was the big deal anyway EBT pays for the bags anyway.

Food 4 Less on Elkhorn Blvd, in Rio Linda. Whether this was done on purpose or out of pure ignorance to the racial stereotypes in our society, I was disappointed to see the lack of cultural sensitivity in some of the food isles. Although some individuals may brush this off as not a “Big deal” it actually is. Lack of cultural understanding can create biases between ethnic groups. There are clear signs above the isles that indicate where to find specific food items, as I walked down the isle for canned foods, where I usually find a variety of canned beans to make a bean salad(sign also indicates canned beans) I only saw canned green beans, some chili bean cans, and a few spare cans of black beans…I figured something was off, maybe they were out of stock; as I continued shopping, lo and behold when I happened to walk down the “Hispanic Food” isle, all the canned beans (pinto, black, kidney, garbanzo, white kidney, etc) filled a large portion of the isle. Yeah, okay I found what I was looking for, but it was a Pretty offensive display. You have a specific sign and isle for canned beans, put them back where they belong; a lot of other food items were also in other isles that the signs didn’t indicate… To the Food 4 Less owner- train your management team and employees on cultural and ethnic stereotypes/biases, and where food items are to be stocked- per your signs- it’ll make finding what your customers are looking for much easier and maybe not leave your store feeling offended. Hope to see some changes soon.

SOUR GRAPES, literally. Produce is hit and miss. For instance, today I paid $9.98 for a bag of organic tiny red grapes that are RAISIN grapes, NOT table grapes.and they are VERY sour. Turn out to be very expensive chicken food. Then the mini watermelon is filled with water and all mushy inside, resembling a tomato inside rather than melon. Fed to cows. I dont recommend produce here. And Implore buyers to step up the quality. Very Disappointing.

I live less than a mile from the store. The quality of the meat and produce is never good. I will drive 15 miles to Bel- air from now on.

Lots of processed food, healthy food is taxed 2-3$ more than sprouts, systemic poisoning of the people in less fortunate neighborhoods. Would love to see more organic produce as there are only bananas. Need healthy foods for the pandemic
