I had a really great experience at this Golden 1 branch. Even though they were fully booked, Roberto still found a way to help me, which I really appreciated. The whole appointment was quick and easy. He explained everything well, had a great attitude, and made the process smooth. I’m super happy with the service, and honestly he deserves to be the manager there!

I've been with them longer than any banking place I've ever had. Rarely have to go in but the maybe 3 times I've gone in, even with a line, things went fast. The only thing I don't like about this branch is the ATM location. As "not a morning person" the ATM in the hot sun is something I dread along with the parking to get to it. Crossing that street with all the aggressive drivers that seem be in Auburn is scary especially as a disabled person. I wish there was a drive through ATM nearby. Most times I head to the ATM at the CU by Grocery Outlet to avoid this ATM.

I am VERY pleased to take my one star review up to five today! After choosing to use the Folsom branch for the last couple years, I gave this one another try this week. I had a completely positive experience with not one, but two, staff members. For starters, when I asked a gentleman (sorry I didn't catch your name) up by the front if I could run a quick question by him, he stopped and acknowledged me and got me started in the right direction. The second gentleman, Roberto, a branch manager, went above and beyond to listen to my situation and help come up with a solution to my dilemma. Both were knowledgeable and helpful and also upfront about possible costs my situation might incur. Roberto I thank you so much for going that extra mile for me to get my passport renewal payment sorted out. I will definitely go back to this branch now based on this experience.

I have been a member with G1 for almost 15 years and love everything except the branches. My god it literally takes an hour to do something. Line out the door, one teller working… always. I’ve tried to up the limit on my atm withdraws with no luck I mean a limit of 500 dollars is pretty dumb imo. Could save myself and the workers a lot of time by having a streamlined service and allowing people to take more than 500 out of the atm in a day.

You’ll need plenty of time to waste if you intend to go inside and deal with teller. I have had to walk out more often than not because there are 5 people in line an 2 tellers working.

Never more than two tellers no matter the line. Today there's one. If there's more than four people in line I abort cause it'll be a half hour. Can't wait to pay my car off to get my last remaining account out of here.

Let me start this off by saying the only reason I'm giving this review five stars is because ten stars is not an option.

My long story begins with me purchasing my very first car from a dealership over the weekend. Since G1 is closed on the day I bought it, the dealership was gracious enough to allow me a "Three Days, One Pay" option to get my car financed with my chosen lienholder. That very entity being Golden 1.

I've dealt with the Auburn branch for years regarding all my needs, but here is where my regular experience turned stellar. Lexi took me in a very timely manner (without a previously set appointment, mind you) and guided me through the entire process of doing a purchase loan. She took all the information I had on hand and entered it into the system; and even though I had to leave in the middle of our session, she had everything still saved so we could pick right back where we had to leave things after I got off work. Not only that, but anything Lexi did not immediately know, she triple checked with the branch manager Roberto. He was informative and very patient with both of us since the process did take until after the branch had closed.

Not only did Lexi and Roberto take great care of me for the day I was there, providing me with the purchase check to send to my dealership in record timing, not only was Lexi incredibly friendly and kind, but the entire process of being there saved me over ONE THOUSAND dollars that I no longer will have to pay in interest on my car loan.

Don't just bank with Golden 1. Go to the Auburn branch. It's worth the time.

Only 2 stars because the wait here is absurd. I’ve never had a negative experience with the members who work here. In fact, everyone has been very pleasant and helpful. I’m very pleased with golden1, however, at this branch, the wait is bananas. A line out the door for 90% of the day, everyday. I’ve been waiting for about 5 minutes. As I write this, there are 16 people in line ahead of me. 6 people have showed up, seen the line, turned around, and left. With 3 windows open, it’s taking the tellers on average 6 minutes per customer. At this rate, customers can expect to be helped in 4 months. Golden1, please open another location somewhere in Auburn!
