My experience with Golden Gate Real Estate started when looking for a house to rent because apartments were pretty much the same price so why not get a backyard for the dog? I was nervous enough about it because I hate the type of stuff and we needed to find somewhere before our lease was up. We went to see a house in Pleasant Hill that Dina showed. It ended up renting to the first person that applied (we were second). Totally fair and expected. What I didn't expect was that Dina would call to ask if we might be interested in another property they managed since we didn't get the PH house. I was very surprised by this. She took the time to send us photos and show us the place...we loved it even more than the first house we looked at and we decided to rent. I'm so very happy that we did. The place was clean and ready for us with no issues. Dina and Eddie were very thorough about the details of the house, showed us where the essentials were, and told us about the city a bit (Clayton). Living there was hassle free with check ins whenever someone needed to come out for maintenance. There was even a massive tree that needed removal that Dina took care of with no needs from me besides making sure the dog was in. After a year of renting, I was ready to purchase a home. Based on the existing relationship and great experience we had, I decided to ask Dina & Eddie if they could travel a little farther on my journey with me and help me buy a house. They happily accepted the opportunity. After viewing multiple homes and my non-stop questions, I finally landed on the right one. Dina & Eddie set me up with some of the people they use for the paperwork processes, talked me through inspection results, explained next steps, and before I knew it I was saying goodbye to the rental and hello to a new house!

These weren't just "be here, sign this, do this, pay this" type of transactions I had with Dina & Eddie. They are so caring and attentive to needs. They are real people that have built a great business and genuinely care for both the homeowners they property manage for as well as the tenants they rent to. Anything involving money can be very stressful...but even my home buying process had a lot more comfort to it than expected because of how well they took care of me.

If I were still renting, it would be from one of their properties. I couldn't be more thankful that they helped me in the home buying process. I felt supported the whole way through and felt like my best interests came first. In just one year we built a great relationship and you just don't find that everywhere.

Thorough, honest, caring, genuine, and very business savvy. I would recommend them to anyone that wants a comfortable home to live in, a great experience, and very personable property managers.

I’ve worked with Eddie and Dina for over three years now. Their property management service is fantastic, very responsive, timely, and personal. By staying on top of things they keep my mind at ease. For small repair jobs Eddie would try to fix them himself first so as not to incur cost to me. For larger repair or maintenance jobs they keep me well informed before ordering the service. Plus they always give me a choice between using service providers they identify and finding my own. Their management fee isn’t the least expensive in the Contra Costa area but it’s certainly fair for the service level they provide and maintain. I appreciate the outstanding services Eddie and Dina provide and would highly recommend Golden Gate Real Estate.

Over Thanksgiving week our property experienced a water leak under the house that was seeping into the garage. We called Eddie who arranged a licensed plumber to quickly come out, evaluate the issue and correct the problem all in one visit. The guy was first rate and took care of everything. He eased our concerns that this was a one time vs potentially recurring issue and even cleaned up after completing the repairs.

We can't thank Eddie & Dina enough for attending to our urgent needs during the pre-holiday busy period. They responded immediately and really cared about our situation. We can't thank them enough for making our holiday a blessed one. Way to go Golden Gate!

Rent was increased to market - a really nice quality tenant moved in - has been there 3 years now - and Dina & Eddie are VERY responsive to the tenant's calls for needed repairs.
