What a wonderful weekend!!! I cannot say enough kind words for our experience at Hillcrest House. Ann is an amazing individual. She only enhanced our weekend getaway. The room was more than adequate in size. Beautiful shower. Comfortable setting. Plenty to eat at breakfast. Witty banter. We would easily come back and stay again. Money well spent especially considering location & parking availability. Thank you again.

Love, love, love!! This was our second stay at Hillcrest House, and we truly love it here. We stayed in the Old Town room because it has a little private patio and we can open the outside door to enjoy the fresh air. (We live in the desert near Joshua Tree, so we really appreciate the fresh, moist, coastal air of San Diego in July.) Ann is a fab host, and it is clear that much attention has been given to all the little details of ensuring that guests have everything we need to be comfortable. The rooms are well maintained and spotless, the house is very comfortable and super clean, there is coffee/tea available 24/7, and she always leaves a few little muffins and apples out in case someone needs a little bite of something. Hillcrest House is centrally located between the 163 and I-5, just south of I-8, which is very convenient for us. There are several restaurants within a short walk, and Ann is always happy to recommend some local attractions or activities if needed. In summary, a delightful proprietress, a clean, comfortable, centrally located inn that has everything we need. We highly recommend! 😀

We felt at 'home away from home' at Hillcrest House. Ann is the consummate hotelier - considerate, helpful, and friendly. Her tips for the beautiful city and surroundings were so useful. She prepares breakfast every day, and everything is always not only homey, but also spic and span. She is easy to contact via phone and will go out of her way to accommodate special requests. Being from out of state, we would make her place our top choice when we visit San Diego again!

Ann is truly a wonderful host. She called me as I was boarding the plane to let me know what I needed since I was arriving later in the evening. It is in a great location, next to my appointment and near a lot of restaurants. I went to Bronx Pizza which is always a good idea. The bed was super comfortable and the room was great. In the morning I came in for breakfast and she introduced herself, she is very warm and friendly. She even met with me after check out to see the results of my appointment. If I ever need a place to stay I will definitely stay here again. Thank you Ann!

Ann and her beautiful home stay is a reason that in the future we will want to return to San Diego. She gives us a very excellent information for our travel plan. The room is cozy and bed is amazing comfort. Highly recommend to anyone.

The whole vibe of the house is welcoming, comfortable and a home away from home. Ann is a wonderful host, she knows the city inside out and is very kind in taking out the time and advising on where to visit. She specifically explained on her tablet where I should park and had excellent restaurant recommendations as well. The location is also great, very easy access to all the tourist places. I look forward to staying here again whenever we visit San Diego.

A very memorable stay; nice neighborhood, cozy & comfortable room, and most importantly a super duper friendly host... I can't say enough nice things about Ann the innkeeper, she accommodated my check-in time on a same-day notice, she provided helpful recommendations about the city and the area, and was so sweet and kind! Highly recommended and will definitely come back!!
