This was our first stay at this property and we were pleasantly surprised. The property is conveniently located, clean and well kept. The staff were all friendly and accommodating as well. The complimentary breakfast was above average for typical comparable properties too. This was a great place to stay and we would definitely recommend.

This hotel was very welcoming, bright and beautiful. The staff was friendly and helpful with answering questions about town and providing needed items. The bedroom and bathroom were clean and comfortable. If you have allergies, please note some pillows are feather and you may need to notify them. The only down side is you hear the outside noise/traffic on the road from inside your room. It didn't bother me, but if you are not used to hearing sirens/horns/engines you may feel disturbed.

We checked in on Friday afternoon around 3:00. The room was ready when we arrived, which is saying something within itself! The staff recognized me as a valued guest and the check-in was smooth and easy. The room was clean and well set up. The ONLY thing we experienced at this hotel that was not perfect was the firmness of the bed (which could have been our age!) and one of the USB ports was not functioning. Otherwise it was a great stay in an excellent location with no noise and nice amenities. The breakfast was better than we've gotten at other hotels that offer similar free breakfast!

I travel to Aiken several times a year and I always stay at this Holiday Inn Express. I will not stay in any other hotel! The staff has always been friendly and helpful, the rooms are always spotless, the breakfast is really good with a variety of hot foods, and the hotel is located in a very safe area close to shopping.

Some specific things I like: The beds are extremely comfortable with choices of firm or soft pillows. The shower has great water pressure. The room darkening shades are wonderful. Instead of curtains that can allow light in around the edges, there are shades that sit inside of a track so that no light can get through, even around the edges.

The hotel was completely renovated recently even though I thought it was still in good shape beforehand. It seems that most hotels wait until they are in bad shape before they renovate, so it was nice that the HEI was proactive with that. It feels and looks like a brand new hotel. If you are coming to Aiken I highly recommend that you stay here!

I arrived for a weekend stay here in Aiken. I travel to Aiken once or twice a year and always stay here at the Holiday inn. I have always enjoyed my stay, but this last visit was different due to smoking in the hotel. The staff changed my room and was very friendly, and helpful with making me happy. Samatha was awesome and she is the reason why I decided to stay. The hotel was clean and comfortable. I would definitely stay here again, especially if Samatha is the manager.

This was our first stay at the Holiday Inn in Aiken, SC and it will certainly not be our last. The staff allowed us to check in a little early. The Inn was fresh and gave the appearance of being new. The beds and bath were comfortable and very clean. Breakfast had anything you could have possibility wanted to include fresh fruit and fresh cinnamon rolls (something you rarely see at hotel breakfasts).

I loved this hotel! They do things the way it used to be. I got in Late due to a delay in Atlanta. Sam Greeted me and informed me that i had been upgraded based on my Diamond status. After the expensive taxi ride from the Augusta Airport. This was a great way to end the day. I got an executive room with a view of the back of the carport which i didn't mind. Kept people from really being able to see in. It was a nice 2 room suite. Not a fan of the new chairs they have in the HIE's but at least the lock worked on this chair so i could stay upright. Pros: The water was always hot and plenty of water pressure. The bed was sinfully comfortable so i never had problems sleeping. Speaking of sleeping. This was one of the few times i almost never woke up all night long. I was even able to arrange my late checkout a couple days in advance. Oh and they slipped the bill under the door early in the morning. I had forgotten that was even a thing. But that was the thing i liked most about my stay. Oh they had shredded cheese and french toast in the fridge. Bonus points for that.

Cons: Not many but i do have a couple. I can't stand the omelets and they had them too much during my stay. I get that they have to cater to vegetarians and people who don't eat pork. (This is a corporate nitpick) Not one for the location. But i was really hoping for a day with scrambled eggs pork links and the potatoes that they only put out once the 4 days i was there. At least make scrambled eggs too. Other than that they had a HUGE selection of different things. There were only 2 towel sets instead of 3 like at most IHG hotels. I think that was it.

I am trying to make excuses to come back and stay here again.

Stayed here over the weekend while in town for a funeral. We checked out 03/10/25 and shortly after leaving the hotel, realized we forgot our son’s backpack in the room. We searched the entire car and knew there was nowhere else it could be. I called the front desk to let them know and to see if anyone had turned it in yet. The woman said rooms were still being cleaned but she would call me back in 10-15 minutes and let me know if the backpack was there. She called me back 5 minutes later and said nothing was left in the room. We know 100% the backpack was left there containing my son’s Nintendo switch, games, and Fitbit. The backpack never left the hotel room our entire trip. I’m aware we should have been more responsible and made sure we had everything before leaving but with a bunch of kids and chaos, sometimes things happen. Just wish there were more honest people working there who would do the right thing instead of steal a child’s belongings.
