Horizon has always been beyond helpful and accommodating with the smallest to largest issue I have encountered. And I have never had an employee be anything but friendly and helpful. Especially the tellers that were at the safeway branch. Thank you for years of helpful service.

The way Horizon is handling switching over their card technology is a mess. They do NOT strive to communicate well with their members, don’t let them tell you that they do! They cancel your card for the new card with special technology hoping customers will get it in the mail. Communicating well is using all forms of communication- making a phone call, leaving a voice message, sending a text, sending a letter, sending an email; but they only pick 2 of the worst ways to reach us - our personal email and a letter. A lot of people did not know about this. The employees are frustrated and so are the customers. My daughters and I were waiting at the branch on Clover drive for an hour to replace my debit and credit card. I was told I couldn’t replace my credit card yet, even though my husband was able to replace his at the Ephrata branch. Then multiple customers’ names were called out (people who were there after me) for their replacement card but mine. The employee didn’t bother to call my name and put my card in the back. It was frustrating.
This new card won’t activate until 2 days later after receiving it. We’re just trying to pay our bills, and Horizon has to make it such a huge inconvenience for their members.

My wife went in for a new card today. She had pur kids with her. My wife is a sweetheart. They had her sit down and forgot about her. Many customer came and went. When she asked them if her they had her card ready they just said “yea I have it” and just stared at her. Gave her a ton of attitude and then refused to cancle the credit card that they sent in the mail “unprompted or or approved by us” AND REFUSED to print a new credit card on site though i know they can.
These are the rudest bank tellers ive ever experienced.

Maybellene is FANTASTIC! I showed up with a big problem on behalf of our nonprofit organization and she understood what I wanted, better yet what I needed, and she, with the assistance of Jennifer, was able to take care of everything. She stayed with me throughout the entire process even though I took up about an hour of her day. I cannot say enough good about how cheerful they were, considering I complicated there Friday afternoon, on a payday no less.

They have done a TERRIBLE JOB at switching over the cards - I’ve been on hold forever and I’m pissed off. Who decided to turn off everyone’s card and then doesn’t hire the necessary support I NEED TO EAT PEOPLE

I have had an RV loan through this bank since 2013. I have found them to be hard to with on a regular basis. Their site is not easy to navigate and basically if you dont start a checking with them it is worthless. Want to make an extra payment on the RV? Have to call and set that up and we will have to charge you a transfer fee.
I did make the mistake of letting my insurance lapse when I first got started with them because my card number had changed and the insurance company didnt have my current address to mail me a status update. Horizon charged me 2000 bucks for not having coverage for about 3 days.
They started a new program for their auto pay. I set it all up sent them the required documents for the auto pay set up and they didnt charge me so I called to try and fix the issue and made the payment. They of course reported this to the credit agencies. The only loan I have ever had trouble with has been horizon. I will be selling the trailer soon and I cant wait to be free from this bank. I wouldnt reccomend this bank to anyone.
