Beware of hiring Ken Madison. My homeowners insurance went up $1,300+ per month without notice and Ken completely ignored all of my calls and emails when I was looking for information as to why that happened. When I finally got ahold of him after weeks of making attempts to reach him, I told him I wanted to cancel my policy and he told me that he was very angry with me for canceling. After all of that he never canceled my policy and I was billed again. I needed to call Allstate directly to get it done, as he would not cancel after multiple emails were sent.

Not a fan of Allstate, but we needed insurance help and Ken did a fantastic job of explaining everything and making sure we understood. He put us in contact with the people we needed to talk to and had very helpful feedback and advice. We are still planning on switching to American Family Insurance but would recommend Ken to anyone.

I bought an Allstate policy through Ken when I moved to the area. From day one it was a painful process. He pushed really hard to get me onto their per mile tracking program. Really hard. I appreciated the savings but didn't appreciate the push. He pushed really hard to get me to transfer my renters and pet policies to Allstate even though they could not compete on price. Our conversation got so laborious I had to outright ask "are you willing to sell me car insurance or not?" Ken is friendly on the phone but talks in circles and doesn't listen, so be prepared to set aside 30 minutes for a quick question.

A few months in I decided the per mile plan was't working for me and requested a quote for the standard plan. I took me an entire months (4 weeks!) to get a quote from him, with long delays to emails and inconsistently answering the phone (to eventually not at all). So many follow-ups to finally get a quote. He continued to push the per mile plan hard enough that I had to ask "are you somehow incentivized to keep me on per mile plan?" By this point I was frustrated enough to no longer wish to do business with Ken (Allstate in general is fine. I had no issues with my previous agent in California). I emailed and called to request he cancel my policy as I had signed with a competitor who was willing to take my money with no issues. Ken never replied to voicemail or emails! Eventually I logged into the Allstate app and saw that my policy had been cancelled. Ken heard my pleas to cancel and cancelled the policy but did not have the decency to even reply. I'm disappointed with the way my time with Ken Madison Allstate went. I'm not that hard to please-- I just ask that you listen to my requests and have the decency to reply. This baseline level of service was not provided consistently enough that I feel Ken achieved what he must have wanted all along: losing me as a client. I still have the OBD tracking device and an outstanding refund for the remainder of funds that were in my account but I will not bother reaching out to Ken because he will not respond.

Ken works/worked real hard for me. I moved multiple policies for cars, motorcycles, RV, condos, house, and commercial policies. I'm a demanding customer and he's been very helpful & responsible. Update: he really keeps up on my needs and reaches out when my billing gets messed up or is not optimal for pricing. Continued happiness.

I have been a customer of Ken's for many years. He and his wonderful staff have always gone above and beyond to provide excellent customer service. Recently I was working with Loree Adams in Ken's office regarding an issue with one of my children. Loree went out of her way reviewing policies, even policies from different companies, so she could give me the best advice. There was nothing in this for Loree or Ken, it is just how they run their business and support their customers. I heartily recommend working with them if you have the opportunity. Like all insurance, it is just a check you write until you need it. Ken/Allstate was happy enough to cash the checks, but when we had an issue with our home, he did not return emails or calls. We eventually found the answer ourselves after wading through pages of policy documentation.
When calling to cancel our insurance at a much later date due to the incredibly uncompetitive quote for auto insurance, Ken told us "oh, you've got a Cadillac insurance policy. You've been paying for more insurance than you need." and proceeded to quote a similar policy for much less. Great, thanks a lot. We've been over-paying for multiple years. Not exactly the best customer care where you get the appropriate pricing only when threatening to cancel.
Remember Ken is not on your side.

Ken is always very responsive. He responds in a timely fashion and was able to get a great quote for me compared to others. He gives all the options and explains the details clearly. Would definitely recommend.
