Our home was built in 1996 with La Habra Stucco - X-53 Pure Ivory color. In 2010 we had the Elastomeric paint put on to cover the cracks in the stucco. The coating was more expensive than the Acrylic paint and it has held up well. After 8 years, more cracks appeared and we tried to repair them and re paint the areas but since the paint had faded and the paint color was hard to match up we could see the difference on the exterior walls.

Since we also needed to replace our 30# felt under our concrete tile, we had Roofing Technologies in Yuma, AZ replace the product with Malarkey Right Start SBS underlayment, install bird stops, drip edges, and Eagle brand battens. Our home never had the above options installed, and we decided to do the job the right way. I asked the owner Ray Wolff who he would recommend to paint our home, he said to contact KLD Construction LLC, Katie Dunn the owner, and an interior decorator.

I called Katie, and Santos the supervisor came out and gave us an estimate to replace the 2 x 6 fascia boards in the front of the house because of damage from the roofs 30# felt failing. The estimate also included to replace the trim boards around the three car garage, and new garage doors sealing strips.

As the roof was progressing, the installers left off the final capping tiles around the eaves so that the painters could paint the entire 2 x 6 fascia boards and eaves.

We are so impressed with Katie and her crew to do the job the professional way, they power washed the house on a Friday so that the stucco could dry out and then on Monday started to seal all the areas with silicone, and then used cement to re stucco areas around the home.

They are using Sherwin Williams Acrylic paint which Santos says is a much better product to use in our area with the hot summers. I was going to keep the same paint color but decided to upload my photo to the Sherwin Williams website to check out other exterior colors. I printed up my photo of what I thought would look good and emailed it to Katie. She promptly replied “Wow, what a great choice of colors for the stucco and the trim.”

I was very impressed because of her knowledge in interior decorating that the colors that I chose were going to be good. Our house and trim was all one color, nothing popped out to make our house attractive. But now using a base color for the stucco and another color for the eaves, garage doors, and trim will be excellent.

If I could give 10 stars I would, I have already recommended KLD Construction LLC to many friends. I have one friend who needs her kitchen cabinets to be refinished, and I also need my cabinets to be refinished. I will call Katie after my projects are finished to get her recommendations on what I should do.

Since KLD Construction LLC can do many different projects on your home I would highly recommend Katie Dunn to do the work.
